Browser or app? What version number?
Any difference if you try another sort order?
Any difference if you disable add-ons?
Any difference if you try another browser?
Any difference if you start from a different page? The main eBay page? The Advanced Search page?
Searching is working fine for me, producing reasonable search results for multiple searches using various browsers on a Windows 10 machine or the latest version of the eBay app on an Android phone.

Same. Sometimes “Best match” will show items but switching sort to “highest price” or “lowest price” shows no match.

For me the problem is APP only. iPhone user. Browser seems to work. I just searched Levi jeans. Search comes up under best match but when I switch to sort by anything else, it says no matches found. It also says no matches found when I select to view only sold items. I know that’s not valid.

Works on Computer. The app has ALWAYS had one problem or another.

Thanks for following up. What version number of the app are you using? What version of iOS?
Does it matter if you are signed to your eBay account in or not?

Current on ebay app. Version 6.201.0.2. My iOS is not current at 18.2.1. I think that’s my problem. I checked my son’s phone who is current to 18.3.2. His ebay search works. I’ll update my iOS and see if that fixes it.

I'm having the same issue on desktop and the mobile app. No search results for anything, regardless of what I search or any filters / sorting I have applied.
However, if I log out, search results show up fine.
Logging into Chrome on my mobile device (not using the eBay app), search results show up.

For me search is not working properly when using computer (Windows 11) Firefox browser. Search for "sweater" and several other common terms pulls up only 2 items with "no other available".
Works normally on Chrome and phone app.

I'm using Mac OS 15.3.2 (24D81). I just tried a search again and the issue is still present.

I have found a browser where search is not working for me (Chrome Beta).
Many searches turn up zero results. Only two sponsored items are displayed.
Despite the zero results, the "Available inventory" graph on the left side shows a bar chart of results at various prices that I cannot actually see. Changing various filters has no apparent effect, other than to change the sponsored listings that are shown.
Since there are no results, changing sort order is not possible through the search results page, but if I go through the Advanced Search page, changing to "Best Match" shows some results.
Signing out and manually deleting eBay cookies and site data had no effect.
Using an incognito browser window did allow me to search and see results, though. Even when signing back in to my account.
Deleting browser data "for all time" including browsing history and cookies and other site data did allow me to sign in again and search and see results.
If you are still having problems searching, either use a private or incognito browser window to sign in to eBay and search, or else try clearing all your browser data for eBay, for all time.

Having same issue.

Unfortunately, seems to be an eBay issue. Desktop having same issues.

I am running
Firefox 136.0.2 on a Mac 12.46 Monterey and Adblock Plus 3.5.2
_________
1. This is the stripped down version of a FF bookmarked search which in the past produced 1000s of results...
https://www.ebay.com/dsc/167992/i.html?
_________
2. Ebay now converts that to ....
https://www.ebay.com/b/Historical-City-Town-Collectibles/167992/bn_2310456
.... and returns 53k results all sorted to Best Match.
_________
3. On that results screen, change Sort from Best Match to Newly Listed and ebay generates...
https://www.ebay.com/b/Historical-City-Town-Collectibles/167992/bn_2310456?_sop=10&mag=1&rt=nc
But now with 0 results. The "sop=10" argument here is has always been the value for Newly Listed search.
The "&mag=1&rt=nc" do nothing and can be deleted with no effect on the results.
FYI: On this results page the suggested link in the blue box to "Try Historical City & Town Collectibles" is a red herring... it just takes you back to #2 and Best Match.
I logged out & back in ... no change.
I logged in under a secondary account... no change.
_________
4. Taking eburtonlab 's advice in #25, I went to a FF Private window and signed in on my primary. I ran my original, fully loaded search with long word & seller filters. The results were exactly what they should be and the count then become an acceptable 31k.
_________
I won't pretend to understand what ebay is doing here but going private is a workaround, albeit an ungainly one.
_________
We can only hope that ebay walks this change back in a hurry.
