The buyer can't pay. Ebay is telling him he needs a shipping quote and I can't send an invoice. When I go to send an invoice it says "Sorry all your items are vehicles listed on Ebay Motors and cannot be invoiced" These are not vehicles. They are 2 automotive wrenches and are not vehicles. The buyer claims there was a problem when he went to pay. How do I send an invoice with the shipping charges?

I just spoke with Ebay. They know it's an issue but obviously don't know how to fix it. It was recommended I cancel and relist into a non-Ebay Motor category. It's clearly a glitch or something that is either intermittent or only on accounts of a certain type, or something. It's crazy this has been going on for a year at minimum according to this thread and is still an issue. My item is listed under the specific category below which has a fairly substantial 262,435 search results. There is JUST NO WAY the sellers of these 262k items are having this same issue, there are plenty of daily sales, assumingly hundreds or thousands, just from this category. So why do some of us have an issue and some clearly dont?

Oh it just gets worse. Just tried cancelling and Ebay gives the option to relist which I selected. Figured I'd revise item into different category after the fact. The relist "failed" according to the message. So I relisted it manually and attempted to change the category and got this message:

" It looks like there's a problem with this listing. This listing cannot be edited or relisted because it was not created on this eBay site. "

...So now I have to start the listing over from scratch apparently as you obviously cant list something in an Ebay Motors category and then move it. This is why I have no hair.

How stupid is this. I currently have a list of issues with this site, been here 22 years, they keep making changes and clearly not realizing or caring how it affects something else. 24 Billion dollar market cap, but cant process an order for a tool on Ebay motors. Just dumb....

Having the same issue. Item needs to be shipped by freight can't invoice for the sale plus the freight cost.

This would be such a simple fix. Just move all categories that are not vehicles to Ebay, maybe under business & Industrial category . I believe that is what they meant to do but are just to Stupid to understand it. Lost a $2000 sale yesterday because the customer would not pay for shipping separately. Ebay told them I could add the shipping cost to the invoice that I could not send. I wish there was a marketplace that actually cared about us sellers!!
