The buyer can't pay. Ebay is telling him he needs a shipping quote and I can't send an invoice. When I go to send an invoice it says "Sorry all your items are vehicles listed on Ebay Motors and cannot be invoiced" These are not vehicles. They are 2 automotive wrenches and are not vehicles. The buyer claims there was a problem when he went to pay. How do I send an invoice with the shipping charges?

Your listing apparently lacks a shipping method:

You may have to find a way to specify a method after the fact -- perhaps ask on the Selling board to get advice from sellers that may have run into this problem.

I also have had this problem with 2 items in the last week. Currently on the phone with ebay as I write this. Frustrated with the lack of knowledge from ebay technicians. My issue is that when I send a invoice I get this message "Sorry, all of your items are vehicles listed on eBay Motors and cannot be invoiced"

The technician (I probably should not call them that simply because they don't have a clue)

First She tole me that my item was in the wrong category. Its a "Snap on tool" so I double checked and it is in automotive tools and supplies>hand tools>Wrenches. (obviously the correct category)

I told her she was incorrect.

She then stated that it was in the Global shipping program so Ebay wont allow me to send an invoice except the item is being shipped to California (I'm in California as well)

When will ebay provide REAL customer service with REAL technicians who can solve problems NOT idiots who read answers from their computer screen and really have no clue.

I have been an ebayer for over 20 years. It has been my sole source of income for my Family and I am grateful to have this venue but frustrated and the poor level of customer satisfaction.

Ebay Fees go up, Customer satisfaction goes down.

I have the same problem with invoicing multiple purchases on tools that I have listed on eBay Motors. I can't get a straight answer from Customer Service. eBay's customer support has gone down the drain. We are now talking with some foreigner in the Philippines. or India. They either don't care or don't have the answer. These people are very untrained. I have been selling on eBay for 20 years. When I contact customer service it is because I have a problem that I cannot solve myself. Sucks to talk with someone with no clue! Total waste of my time! And there is no way to get a educated person/supervisor on the line or get transferred to a call center in the US.

I am getting the same problem, first time ti talked with them they said it was a tecnical issue, this time they said you can no longer send an invoice for anything in ebay motors and I should invoice via paypal and to have the buyer send their paypal id broken up so ebay does not think it is a email address . I have used this method of sending invoices for international sales in the past and it worked fine. Now ebay says no longer. So I guess I will stop international sales which ebay encouraged me to do

I am in the same stupid boat. Item is a tool, listed in EBAY motors tool category. It has multiple possible shipping methods included. All I get is the stupid message that it is a car and cannot be invoiced.

Same problem today..... Ebay has a 32 Billion dollar market value, but they still haven't fixed this simple issue.

Unless you are combining multiple items from different listings, why would you send an invoice? As soon as customer buys an item, they get a pay now notice from eBay. Most everything I have been buying, has come from a listing on eBay Motors, have yet not to receive a pay now notice. If buyers have not paid in 4 days, day 5 cancel for nonpayment, block and relist.
