Hi,
The last few weeks I have been unable to type into the messages box without having to reposition my mouse cursor after every letter. I have been having to copy and paste from Word which is a pain. Does anyone have any ideas why this may be happening?

The Grammarly browser extension causes the one-letter-at-a-time issue. Try disabling Grammarly on eBay (or entirely) or else use another browser to send messages.

Just to add to knowledge.....which you probably already know........
Been struggling for 2 wks with one letter at a time/slow typing.....don't have Grammarly.... odd thing was that it happened intermittently on all typing in all programs.....but not consistently. Bad on Ebay, ok in 6 bit......bad in 6 bit, ok in email. Drove me crazy..... about ready to replace the keyboard........
Last night, I did the obvious tech thing and "shook" the keyboard, turned it over and shook it. Happened to notice a battery compartment....... Ah, yes, I have a wireless keyboard.....had it for 3 yrs.......ah, yes.....it takes batteries..... Ah, yes, changing them cures the problem.
Thought you might get a laugh...

I once had a keyboard with an intermittent problem that only occurred when using a particular uncommon shift and letter key combination that I only used with a certain password -- if I used the left shift key with that letter, sometimes it would come out as lower case. As time went on, it got worse. At one point, after too many failed sign-in attempts in a row, I was locked out of my account.
One of my favorite keyboard stories involved an old third-party Macintosh keyboard that would sometimes randomly spit out the phrase "welcome datacomp" for no apparent reason. The phrase still appears in many online articles and at least one print edition of a book.
Here is an article referencing that:

Absolutely on the money. Thanks very much for this.
