In my Selling Preferences, I have the "Buyers can see exactly how many items are left" button turned ON, because I want my exact in-stock quantities visible to buyers. Beginning yesterday, it only displays correctly for listings with quantity less than 10. All my listings with quantity greater than 10 now display as "More than 10 available". I understand this is preferable for some sellers in some categories, but I want it to always to show the exact quantity. This has always worked fine until yesterday. Tried phoning support and did actually speak with a live person but they seemed clueless and claimed the capability to always show the exact quantity available does not exist. Anyone else seeing this?

We recently had the same issue happen with our account. We tried toggling the feature off and then on again and it worked for a day or so before reverting back to "More than 10 available" no matter which option is selected. We also prefer that buyers have accurate information about exactly how many items are left in stock.
Try toggling the setting and then switching it back after 10 minutes or so and see if that works.

I appreciate your reply.
I did try turning it off and back on but did not wait 10 min before turning it back on.
Will try waiting longer to see if it makes a difference.
Thanks.

I tried turning OFF the button labeled "Buyers can see exactly how many items are left". Waited an hour then turned it back on, but this makes no difference. Buyers still see "More than 10 Available" instead of the actual quantity, on all my listings with quantity greater than 10. Less than 10 displays correctly. The phone rep I spoke with about this problem last week said it would either be fixed, or someone would contact me about it, within 3 days. Of course neither of those things ever happened (as expected). Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for how to escalate this? Thanks.

Having same issue. Tried turning the setting off/on with no luck, but did notice that the exact quantity shows when viewing on the app. Contacted support and was told the issue was forwarded to a technical team...

It isn't a site change, it's a system glitch. eBay techs are working to nail down the cause so they can fix it. Patience, all. It's not forever.

I called Ebay Germany about this issue today. And just got a support-mail now that it is NOT a bug and will stay as this.
So please can someone of Ebay support now state here exactly what´s on with this ?
DO WE GET REINSTATED THE EXCAT QUANTITY ? shown on the listings ?

That's encouraging news. Wondering if you could share the source of this information (that it's a temporary problem and a fix is known to be underway) with the rest of us impacted by this problem? Thanks so much for replying.

Just a note to say that this is still not fixed.

Ebay wants to make money, not friends.

Original Poster here. Just noticed the problem finally appears to be corrected, at least on my listings. Hope it is for others, too and that it's a permanent fix. Thanks to those who responded.

Just checked again and now it's back to only showing "More than 10 available" instead of the actual quantity, for listings with quantity greater than 10. Funny thing is, when viewing my listings in Seller Hub>Orders>All Orders, it DOES show the actual quantity in stock for all items, including listings with quantity over 10. But when viewing my listings as a buyer would, I'm unable to view the exact quantity except for listings with quantity 10 or less. I understand hiding the actual quantity would be preferable for some sellers in certain categories, but not all. It varies by seller, and this is why eBay offers sellers the option to display actual quantity or not. The button to select this option is still there, but is not presently working. I understand eBay is struggling financially and has recently laid off a lot of employees so guess we shouldn't be surprised service is continuing to deteriorate. Sad to see... Wish somebody knew how to escalate this.

Check your listings today. It looks like the feature is working correctly again!
