I was sent an offer from a buyer in Russia (zero feedback) and when I tried to respond a file started to upload onto my computer. I didn't open it. I contacted Ebay and they really didn't seem to care. Is this common?

so you opened an email on your regular email account that looked like it came from Ebay? Always go TO ebay via a trusted link and read messages there.....
Just like all the fake emails from banks, Nigeria, American Express......there can be fakes from Ebay and Paypal..........

No this has nothing to do with my Email. It was a notice from ebay. On my sellers home page. Under the little bell that tell you that you have an offer. I clicked on the notice and the offer page came up. The offer was 5.00 on a fifty dollar item. When I clicked the decline offer button nothing happened. I clicked it again and noticed to files were being downloaded to my computer. I clicked on one and it asked how I wanted to open the file. I closed everything and deleted my history then restarted my computer. So far I haven't noticed anything has changed on my computer. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Did your virus protection catch this? How do you know files were being downloaded?
I suspect that the 'Decline' button was trying to load more info to display. Your net may have just been slow to transfer needed info from eBay.
