I sell multible items to collectors who want to combine purchases. My sales and I am led to believe EVERYONE'S sales at this time are required to be instant payments. This does not work for me. Here is a note from a customer who is trying to buy several items for my combined shipping.
It’s an eBay problem! And they don’t know why!!!!! It’s not just a problem for us! It’s all buy-it-nows!
I sure hope this is resolved soon.

That could work as a temporary solution. Sellers are not required to combine or refund excess shipping.
Even if refunded by the seller, eBay still collects fees on those refunded amounts. Not a good situation for buyers or sellers.

Agree , not fair to seller to pay ebay 10% final value fee on shipping & then refund buyers back
ebay will not refund that difference.
I am not having the issue , hoping the OP gets an answer .
I don't might testing by adding to cart but I sure can't test buy it now on all their items to see if it works.
hope thy get this fixed soon

I wonder if ther system would count that against her though , if her shipping time is say one day and you had a paid for item then the system would pick up an "unshipped" item ?! This situation is a problem.

Or Ebay should just fix the problem?
Has anyone actually spoken to anyone at Ebay about this issue? What did they say?
Are they even aware there is a problem?

Per OP message #10 one of her customers had been on with CS for over 2 hrs.
But not sure of outcome

Everytime I try to use the bin it makes me sign in and wants an instant payment. It is really getting old. I like to wait till the seller sends invoice. Kathy

That's just to bad that these glitches are nonstop , not just with this issue but many more.
If it was affecting me & I was refunding the shipping difference in which ebay keeps the final value fee on , I would be on the phone screaming as the seller.
No buyer should have to call & deal with this issue, you are so lucky you have an item buyers really want bad enough.
Imagine all the lost sales & buyers who just say forget it & move on to another site

Peggy,
If they put them in their cart and then request a total after putting them in the cart, it copmmits them to buying them and no other buyer can come in and snag them from them. The only time someone could buy them out from under them is the time they spend during that shopping session. But I also totally get that buyers do not want to do it that way. It's not user friendly.

If I read one more reply about the cart being the same thing as hitting the buy it now for each individual item I'm just going to scream. While you are loading your cart someone else CAN STILL BUY THE ITEM! When you use the buy it now for each individual item it is yours RIGHT NOW. You can then pay all at once, have combined shipping and everyone is happy.
I changed absolutely nothing about my auctions and I DO NOT have immediate payment checked, yet that is how all of my buy it now auctions are showing. I've also seen this with EVERY item that I've tried to purchase over the past week.
I'm going to call this weekend, but this issue is costing EVERYONE money, including Ebay so I don't know why it hasn't been fixed.
