I process my ebay payments through authorize.net and received this message.
In support of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirement to remove support for version 1.0 & 1.1 of the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol, Authorize.Net will disable TLS 1.0 and 1.1 on February 28th, 2018. In order to avoid any interruption in transaction processing, please contact your payment solution provider and web hosting company to confirm that they fully support TLS 1.2 by February 28th, 2018. For more information, ask a Customer Service representative or see our TLS FAQs page at support.authorize.net.
Now, as of today, 3/1, my buyers have gotten errors that their payments are not going through. Has this happened with anyone else today. I talked to authorize and they seem to think the TLS was not updated on ebay's end.

I've not had any interuption in payments over the last week. Are these credit card purchases rather than paypal?

hello all,
an update for everybody affected - just got off the phone with ebay, there is still no estimate as to when this will be fixed, they advise that their engineers are still working on it.
the person we spoke to was aware of the issue, we did not have to go through the whole story from the beginning - all we had to say was we were following up on the TLS 1.2 issue and they knew exacltly what we were talking about.
we were told as well that the workaorund we should offer in the meantime is to directly invoice the customer through authorize.net

Yes they are. I do not have Paypal. I have a credit card merchant account with Authorize.net as my gateway.

Just got off from the phone with Ebay - no updates and no ETA. They are claiming that it is Authorize.net issue that they need to resolve with the security certificates. Why do I feel that it will never get fixed?
Also now seller hub stopped working and no ETA to fix it also.

we contacted authorize.net today, they told us they are aware of the issues and that the TLS update is indeed the problem, but they said that they themselves do not have a lot of information about what the actual issue is.
they told us that they are working with ebay towards a solution, however there is no resolution yet and no time frame available for when it will be fixed.
sounds to us that authorize.net and ebay do not know exactly what is causing this problem, for example which lines of code, and that they are investigating - that is probably what's taking so long.
coming from an IT background myself, and without taking away from the fact that this is a disaster, i know how long such an investigation can take - in simple terms, they have to set forth a plan of action, then tackle the errors and code line by line, come up with a fix, test it properly, and move those fixes into the production environment.
there could be millions of lines, across different platforms, with an error in one place propagating out into other databases, etc.
that being said, 6 days down, going into day 7, is unprecedented for such an important piece of the puzzle - if sellers cannot receive payments, we are all dead in the water.

good morning everyone,
we have good news to report - the problem appears to have been fixed, at least for us.
we received two payments overnight - one older purchase who was unable to pay until now (that was ineternational), and one new purchase who was able to pay right away (that was domestic).
both were through ebay checkout, which seems to have passed the information through to authorize.net, as it is supposed to.
is it 100% fixed and all paymetns will go through like normal? we cannot say - only time will tell.
all others affected, please post here and let us know your status as well.

I accept paypal, which would be why I'm still selling. I just wasn't sure where authorize.net fit into the process.

Yep, its working now! I also updated all my listing just to make certain. But, it is working fine. Although, when customer purchase on the mobile app via authorize.net. it still is not compatible... 😞
