Just got off from the phone with Ebay - no updates and no ETA. They are
claiming that it is Authorize.net issue that they need to resolve with
the security certificates. Why do I feel that it will never get fixed?

Same here. Ebay advises to invoice from authorize.net however they dont
undertand that the buyers will simply reject completion of a transaction
outside eBay. Not everyone is familiar what is authorize.net. It is
