When I try to log into my account, I get a message that I am a bot. Now I am logged in through a Google account, but this account does not have any of my details. How can I log into my old account and make purchases?
Windows 7, Google Chrome, Java reinstalled today.
As you were browsing eBay, something about your browser made us think you were a bot. There are a few reasons this might happen:

Try using another browser to sign in to your other account to rule out a browser issue.
Make sure your browser is up-to-date and has JavaScript enabled (and not blocked):
https://www.whatismybrowser.com/
In some cases, if you are using a bad link and getting stuck in a redirection loop, you can get that error message.
If the problem happens when trying to sign in, see if you can use a different link to sign in.
https://signin.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
If you are using a mobile browser, try changing to a different browser mode: mobile, classic or desktop. Sometimes one page may not render properly in mobile or classic mode, and that may cause a redirection to a different mode, but the page may redirect back to the first page in a loop. Try a desktop browser or a mobile browser in desktop mode.
Or try signing in to your usual account using the eBay app.

There is no positive result! I tried the options you suggested, they did not help, I will have to look for another trading platform.

I apologize, nothing changed right away. I tried it now, and my account login went without problems. What exactly was the reason, I still don't understand, nevertheless, thanks for the consultation.

Firefox gave me the as you were browsing page
IE does bring me to the sign in page but only lets me put in my ID or email, which I do, but it won't let me go to the next page to put in my password

OK, I just tried that on both my PC I use for Ebay shipping, and a laptop that one is running vista and one is windows 7. I did the chrome download and the got a message while trying to use it that chrome is no longer supported on these platforms anymore. I guess I need to throw away two computers that worked fine for just Ebay and email and have all my pictures loaded into them. I am devistated that suddenly I cannot get signed into ebay. That is the only one my digital camera works/downloads in as well. Makes it impossible to do business with ebay. Imagine all the lost customers and buyers that can't use Ebay to make purchases either?

Before you get rid of your old computers, you may want to try some more browsers.
I have not tried it to see if it is compatible with eBay, but some folks have recently recommended a Chromium-based browser called Supermium specifically made for older operating systems:
https://win32subsystem.live/supermium/
Also worth trying, a Firefox variant called r3dfox:

Might be worth a try.
