I always list on my I phone. I use a template in the notes section for my listings. I have never had a problem until recently when I try to relisted using my laptop it says I have active content. I jump thru many hoops to “fix” it and it still is there when I look again. My items are not found in search and my sales are really bad. I did not put anything on my template other then works. Why is this happening?

"Why is this happening?"
Likely because there's no active "content" at eBay; same reason why for all of these infernal tech issues.

There are two known methods by which unexpected Active Content enters listings:
The MS Word codes can be eliminated by eBay's fixit tool.
The LastPass bug introduces Active Content by simply using eBay's editing form and can not be eliminated by eBay's fixit tool while LastPass is active.
If you are using the LastPass password manager, you may need to update to a version that fixes the bug. If you have the latest version, then turn off the tool before creating or editing an eBay listing.

Thanks for the ideas. I don’t use MS Word/Office or LastPass and my process (I thought) was pretty basic. I copy/paste my text from the Notes app on my iPhone and have been doing this for years. Just recently I started to use my laptop to review or relist items and noticed I almost always get this error. What’s frustrating (and confusing) is that I use e-Bay’s ‘help me fix-it button’ , save the changes, and the active content message persists! Thanks for the help.
PS - thanks for checking my listings...would you mind looking at ID 123270130581 ? I just revised it and supposedly ‘fixed’ the active content issue. When I go back in to edit again, I get the same message “We fond the following active content in your listing: JavaScript.....”

I don't think there is anything wrong with your listing. I think your browser has an issue similar to LastPass so that when the editor text box loads, something else loads with it.
What browser are you using? What type of laptop (chromebook?)
Are you using the Quick Lister or the Advanced Listing form?
When you get the warning message, are you able to switch to the HTML tab to see what code appears? If so, please copy that code and paste it into a code box here. To open a code box here, click the toolbar symbol </>

Here's the code:

Do you see anything in the code?
Thanks again for all the help

Indeed, I see a Safari addon or extension that has been inserted twice:
<script type="text/javascript" src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/1d998e60/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/1d998e60/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js"></script>
I don't know what the "helper" file does, but you should find it in your Safari Add-on or Extension library. Sorry, I'm not familiar with the latest Safari browser to help you locate that file: "myebaymanage"

I have this problem also. Please check my account we_luv_rocks and advise me how I can prevent this from happening. I am losing a lot of sales over this issue.

Nobody here can "check your account".
We can look at what is publicly visible in your listings though.
I looked at one and found:
<input style="display: none;" id="lpcurruserelt" value="" aria-hidden="true" type="text">
<input style="display: none;" id="lpcurrpasselt" value="" aria-hidden="true" type="password">
</font></font></div>
tagged on to the end of the description. It isn't active content per se, but I'm sure it is indicative of the issue (I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like the offending content is no longer making it through the listing process and is getting flagged or removed at list/revise time by eBay - so we don't see the offending conteny in the listings any more. You get warned at listing time)
Anyway, that tells me you use LastPass password manager, and it is injecting garbage in your listing descriptions. Disable it (temporarily when listing on eBay), look for an update to the LastPass program, or remove the program/plugin.
