I keep getting this message when I try to do Checkout on eBay.de:

Running the text through an online translator results in:
"The article is not available in the desired quantity. It has either been sold, or the offer is no longer valid."
Assuming the item is still available in the quantity you are trying to purchase, I did a quick search, and found a thread from last year:

The problem may be with your payment -- trying to go through checkout again is trying to buy the same item again. Check your purchase history to see if the item is there. It may be marked (incorrectly) as 'paid'.

First of all, THANKS a million! It was exactly what you said. I bought 4 items from the seller and had sent him a request for a new total from the eBay Checkout screen right after he sent me an invoice including just 3 of the items, so they appeared in my transaction history twice. Never thought to check that. Anyway, I just sent him an Uberweisung (wire transfer payment) and all is well.
