I'm so sick of not having access to my money. sell on Thursday and have to wait till Tuesday to get your money. This is a sorry system. To be forced into this sorry system is ridiculous. There is absolutely no respect from eBay towards its sellers. Its all about them making money and to hell with the small business owner that made this company. You would think you would do what ever it took to take care of the people that pay your bills but """no"'" Its sad that I worked 20 years to build my business and now I have absolutely no control over it.

There is an adjustment in payment timeframe. I elected to get paid once a week. eBay pays me once a week, no problems.
I get paid twice a month by Amazon, no problems.
Managing payments for online selling is the way eCommerce is evolving across venues.

As someone who got paid every two weeks for my whole thirty five year nursing career..getting paid in four days sounds like a good deal to me.

And my local group shop pays out once a month.
I'm with you, re: weekly payouts. I transferred to MP at end of November. At that time I elected daily payouts so I could watch my $$'s and learn how it works so I would understand and be comfortable with the system.
I now plan to switch to weekly next week, before the end of the month. I think it will simplify a lot of transactions, ie: shipping $, refunds, etc. and so forth.

Our OP does not strike me as a business with cash flow issues. Just liked PayPal better.

I am sure it can feel that way sometimes..........like you have no control over things
you can contol pricing...................items listed............whether or not to retore.......discounts to good buyers.
I am also sure you can mange combined shipping for the tool buyers
getting paid is 1 small aspect of selling on ebay.its not the be all and end all
keep on ebayin

sounds real good if your not trying to run a business. I have to buy tools when there available and if my money is being held I can't. Pretty sure anyone that has no problem with not being able to access there money is not running a full time business. Cash flow is the most important thing to a business with out it your done. ever sense this system was put in place I have missed out on so many sales do to no cash flow. I'm sorry but seller won't take a I O U for there items.

It was my choice to get my payment from eBay once a week, rather than daily. This makes sense for me. As is it is yours.
Your business, yes, on their platform.
Social Security pays me, no choice here, monthly. My money, yes......
Through my years, one of the greatest lessons that I have learned is to take a breath.
Best,
Grandma

Yep, cash flow is important........and with many businesses, it's predicated by billing and expecting payment by/within 15- 30 days......which sometimes doesn't happen........
Point being........sellers/anyone in business has to be able to adjust to the cards they're dealt......

So you are sick of the real world?!? Most vendors in the business world have to wait 30 days to get paid, except the newer Los Angeles based importers who would rather lose 3% by getting paid by credit card. If you sell to a government agency expect to wait 60 days for payment. And many business just wait until you complain often and loud enough before they pay. Heck, my niece worked for one of the largest multinational vertical monopolies in a collections unit that only worked on internal invoices from one division to another. So your waiting just a few days brings real crocodile tears to my eyes.

If you're totally dependent on cash from sales in order to purchase more stock, then it's probably time to re-examine your business model. I don't know of any successful business who doesn't have cash reserves or credit to keep going. If your business, big or small, is running that close to the edge (where you can't wait four days for your money), then it's only a matter of time before it goes under.

LMAO most retailers get paid on the spot by the customer, sometimes even in *gasp* CASH.
In today's technological world where PayPal can have funds in my account in ONE business day there is absolutely no reason why eBay cannot do the same.
01-23-2021 07:54 AM
Something is wrong if you can't wait 5 days for your money.
Besides ebay, i have a full time job.
Pay period ends: 15th of the month Get paid on the 20th of the month.
Pay period ends the last day pf the month. Get paid on the 5th of the month.
Maybe i should ask to be paid every day at the end of the day?

this is a common response from sellers that like to have as much as they can..I know plenty of watch dealers who cant scrape together 500 because its all invested in watches.
I run into the same problem as you and my buddy just tells me....................let some of that stuff go.
if you let go of 50 pieces you will free up some buying money and be happy again......buying is lots of fun
go for the fast nickel once in a while and let some things go............buyers like to see active sellers
some of my friends think the stuff they sell is dead after 3 weeks..........I might try for 3 months

This sorry, ridiculous system is pretty much the same as every payment system besides PayPal.
There is absolutely no respect from eBay towards its sellers.
Switching to a payment system that mirrors Amazon and Etsy Payments is not showing "absolutely no respect". That is laying it on a bit thick IMHO.
Its all about them making money
That is how for-profit companies operate.
and to hell with the small business owner that made this company
Again, laying it on a bit thick I think.
You would think you would do what ever it took to take care of the people that pay your bills
I would be suicide for eBay to cater to every whim of every seller. They would be out of business in a week.
