seller acceptance time

I purchased a used item for over 600.00 using the "buy it now" option. I immediately paid for the item & expected delivery in a few days.  I waited over 24 hours with no action from the seller, so I messaged her asking how long will it be? Still no response or action from her.  I waited another 24 hours & messaged her again. Still no response or action from her! It is now the 3rd day & she still hasn't contacted me, sent my item, or apparently hasn't even accepted the payment yet! How long do I have to wait before I can just get my money back from Ebay, so I can just buy it from another seller that respects my time & who communicates with people?

Sellers are not required to answer messages or let you know if an item has shipped.

The listing shows an estimated delivery date and some show the sellers handling time, which can be same day shipping to 30 days.

If they don't ship:

A day after the estimated delivery date Ebay gave you, open an Item Not Received case.
Go to your purchase history and click I didn't get it in the menu next to the item.
The seller will have 3 days to provide a tracking number showing it was delivered or refund.
If they don't, return to the case on day 4 and ask Ebay to step in.

Within the listing itself, when you click on Shipping, you can see the sellers handling time in business days.

When you checkout as you pay, there are estimated delivery dates and then eBay also sends a communication that also provides the delivery dates.

If the latest estimated delivery date passes, do as Ken states above.

Was it a new seller?   Some will take their first jump before learning to put their parachute on.   They then slink off and hope it will go away.
