Trying to verify a HSBC account and and I keep getting this message. "We couldn't verify this bank account. Please select a different payment method"

I've spoke to ebay first of all who said it HSBC, so spoke to someone at HSBC who sounded even more confused then me. 

Gone back to ebay and now someone will apparently look into it and get back to me, took three hours of back and forth to get to this point and sounds like they don't have a clue what the problem is.

All my personal details match, this is so frustrating. 😒

Vell this is a user to user sytem and not contact eBay:

We users can not help on such things.

Advice is to keep a watch on that account  if eBay has been directly asking for information concerning that account.

Not expecting a solution here, just wanted to have a mini rant. 

3-4 hours wasted on the phone or with chat and still no closer to resolving the issue with ebay.

I have been waiting for 10 days and nothing has happened.

I chose "micro-deposit" method after eBay says it couldnt verify my Bank Acct#.  but I never received Miro-deposits. eBay said it would send a reminder after it made the deposits, so far, no eMails, no deposits.

Try @mart-r asking for help here. Your Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC Bank, the largest bank in Hong Kong, China) and Impact Radius (which sounds like something you might say at a wrestling match) are two of the EPNs that might payout to your checking account, so it's interesting that you mentioned HSBC.

OP was in the UK, so may be different there.

Try getting a call back from eBay and see if that helps get it sorted.

Also remember every little detail has to be exact - If reg with eBay as John P Smith, then your bank has to be the same, JP Smith or any other variation won't go through AFAIK.

eBay will never fix the issue, instead it will keep you in the loop with the useless customer supports.

They fixed the issue after a few months and I was able to withdraw my money.

However they never contacted me to let me know the issue with was fixed, I just tried weekly until it eventually worked.  😐
