managed payments

I have been selling on ebay for 21 years. I will not sell on any site that is linked directly to my bank account. I like the fact to keep a pay-pal balance for my purchases and I like the fact I can get a check when I want. I like that there is a firewall between ebay and my bank account. I guess I will start to explore other selling options .

Re: managed payments

I feel the same so opened a savings account that will only be used for ebay. That is an easy way to protect your main account.

Re: managed payments

Set up a checking account for Mangaged payemnts alone. Better protection that way.

You can't use a savings account with Managed Payments.

Have a great day.

A Savings Account is fine with PayPal but Managed Payments doesn't like it. I wonder who is objecting to it ... eBay or Adyen?

Re: managed payments

There are many online banks where you can get a completely free checking account, like Discover and Capital One. I have one ready to go that I will be using only for eBay.

I did some checking on the Capital One checking account but I think it said if you didn't make any deposits into it within 60 days after opening it that they would cancel it and you would have to start over again.

Adyen.

On the other site I use, when they switched to Adyen, I tried a savings account and they wouldn't let me use it.
