Buyer paid for item. Had an email from eBay at 05:39 this morning to say payment had been sent to my bank account. I never received it. Normally I get the money in my bank 10am latest.
It's now 20:41 and still nothing. I've contacted my bank and they said they have received nothing from eBay and no incoming payment is pending.
I've also spoken to eBay and they said they've sent it.
All the times I've used this stupid managed payments system and it's never once taken this long.
I miss the PayPal days of instant payment

Just started the transfer this morning.. no offense but Transfers should be instant, it's not 1999 dial up..
And like I said my bank said they have nothing incoming from eBay or ayden

I'm more worried that they've messed something up as per some other posts of people waiting over a month for "sent" payments

No, transfers are not instant.
It could take a day or two.

Since they sent you an email saying they sent your payment, it should hit your checking account in a few days, depending on your bank.
There are a few that have had problems receiving the funds, but most go pretty smooth.

Ebay have had a system glitch - whereas normally funds are received the following day , they are experiencing problems transferring the money & are now using the 4 day time period as a 'get out of jail' card. It would be nice if they were proactive & warned sellers rather than brushing the issue off as though it isn't important.

The deposit email says, at the bottom, 'estimated time' and then says 1-3 business days.
It is not always immediate after email.
Sometimes I've had the deposit BEFORE I even get that message; so it varies.

No, they are using the 0-4 day clause to bypass any fault. In fact after researching of you check the UK forums and on Facebook you'll see that there are 100s posts of people not receiving payments.
In one case the eBay community forum team said there is an issue and it's been escalated to the IT team.
On twitter they also said there was an issue.
So anything else you hear from chat reps saying everything is ok is a lie.
Twitter;
"Hi all, we currently have an open issue with multiple accounts not receiving payouts this morning. Our IT team are investigating it as we speak as priority. Apologies if any inconvenience. ~Tami"

@davidavpqvwv1gc I see you are in the UK and yes, you're correct there is a current technical glitch reported with payouts in the UK that seems to have started yesterday.
Many users of this forum are in the US and at least as far as I've seen, whatever appears to be happening with payouts in the UK is not impacting US sellers, so they may not be aware of it.
