So a couple of days ago I bought about $150 worth of Ebay gift cards. When I got home to use them I entered in the first one, it worked, entered in the second one "No funds left on this card"/"Error card not accepted". After that I tried to reenter the information from the giftcard that originally worked and "No funds left on this card" showed up for that one as well.

I had an ebay associate call me after that, they told me that basically they were both "frozen" cause some reason that doesnt make all that much sense to me. They tell me I need to send in photos of the cards and receipt each with a piece of paper showing the date and proof of purchase. I do that and then I wait about 3 days (today) and get an email saying that my cards are "ready for immediate use" Great right? No. I go to use the cards, first one has the funds work but then the second one malfunctions again and now both once again tell me "No funds left on this card".

After this I have another associate call me and they tell me the cards are "still frozen" despite one of them working breifly so I think they just went frozen again. The associate tells me I need to wait about 24 hours before the cards could be ready despite the prior email saying they were ready for use... Doesn't make sense. I asked to speak with a member of the apparent gift card associate team but they couldn't transfer me over to anyone for some reason. So I currently am waiting for tomorrow to HOPEFULLY use the gift cards right this time.

I've seen some posts similar to this and want to ask, what can I do beyond what I've done? I don't plan on buying more ebay gift cards going forward but I want to be able to use the funds I have and not keep getting this game of waiting for something good. I doubt ebay would send me the funds another way but if anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Is it what I am trying to buy that is causing this issue?

(Apologies if I have an annoyed tone in this post, I'm genuinely mad at this situation cause i've missed bid chances and want it to just be resolved)

I'd be mad, too.

There should be a system that attaches the gift card to your eBay user name at the register. It wouldn't be that hard to do. If the card you carried to the register was already drained it would cancel the transaction.

If you wanted to be able to give the card as a gift to someone then you register their user name instead of yours.
