eBay management payment system much slower than PayPal

Why does it take 2 to 3 days to process and then another 2 to 3 days to deposit into my bank account when with PayPal the money went in almost instantly and only took 1 to 2 days to go into my checking. What is the advantage that the eBay seller is getting out of this new management system????

eBay management payment system much slower than PayPal

Paypal fronted you the money before it cleared, something ebay/Ayden are unwilling to do

There is absolutely no advantage for the seller.  The seller is the Customer because we pay the fees that eBay makes money off of because they sell nothing themselves.  This entire system basically just sucks and I have no idea who thought it would be a good idea honestly.

NOTHING. JUST ANOTHER REASON FOR EBAY TO SCREW IT UP FOR SELLERS WHILE THE LITTLE "BUYING ANGLES" DON'T AFFECT THEM IN ANYWAY ON ANYTHING THEY DO!

and by the way

Thanks ebay for putting sellers on managed payments! I didn't realize what a hassle it was getting paid right away through paypal and then transferring it to my bank INSTANTLY if I wanted to. OH NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 1-3 DAYS FOR PAYMENT BECAUSE YOU DECIDED THAT WE ARE BABIES AND CANNOT MANAGE OUR OWN MONEY AND DECIDED YOU WILL MANAGE IT AND SEND IT TO OUR CHECKING ACCOUNT.

EVER THINK SOME SELLERS DON'T WANT MONEY TO GO TO CHECKING ACCOUNTS?!?! THAT'S WHY PEOPLE LIKE ME KEEP A SEPARATE PAYPAL ACCOUNT FOR SALES! I DON'T WANT IT MIXED WITH MY CHECKING ACCOUNT. I CAN DECIDE ON MY OWN IF I WANT A SALE PAYMENT TRANSFERRED OR NOT TO MY CHECKING ACCOUNT

Its actually like when Ebay 1st started in the 90's. I remember seliing and getting checks in the mail. Then paypal came along and it was a game changer! So I don't know why ebay is going backwards again. I loath this new system from higher ups at ebay

I just won't ship the item until the payment is in my checking account now.

Do not ship until eBay funds your account, we are dealing with a company (think bank) that has very limited ways of being contacted and maybe it is now time for ebayers to see just what banking laws can be applied to eBay, contact your state representatives  etc, at a minimum eBay should supply a U.S. based contact phone number

@maverick1172

That's how the real world works.

Pay Pal gave us access to the funds before they received them from the buyers payment source, because they knew the payment was good and they would receive the funds in a couple days.

Have a great day.

You do know if your buyers pay with Pay Pal , the funds still go to your MP account, so it doesn't do any good to tell your buyers to pay with Pal Pal and not the Ebay method.

There is no reason to put off shipping, if they say it's ok to ship, the payment has been approved and the funds will be sent to your checking account in a few days.

Have a great day.

What banking laws, Ebay isn't a bank?

Have a great day.

Is no one concerned that eBay is adding the shipping fee to the cost of the item and using the total of the two to construct their 12.55% transaction fee?  The shipping is not a part of the sale therefore it should not be included in the fee we are charged. This is a backdoor money grab. Its like when you eat at a restaurant and the restaurant adds the tax to your bill and then calculates the gratuity with the tax included. That's wrong you should only pay gratuity on what meals were served not the taxes.

No company including PayPal fronts anyone money. These monies were actually being processed and are either in process or cleared.

After 18 years in the banking business I promise you no bank, as you said is fronting anyone money. The process of handling the money is slower with eBay as they are trying to streamline their payments to insure

sellers are not given the money until the package is being shipped. Thus cutting down on disputes. The only one this is really punishing is those with with great selling records.

In the long run this does not hurt either the buyer or the seller. It does cut down on disputes, makes things a little safer and of course increases the bottom line for the company as it holds over all the interest from said sales.

Pay Pal is not a bank, and yes, they fronted us the funds before they had them.

They had to process the payment the same as Adyen.

It has nothing to do with when the package is shipped.

When you receive the funds depends on when the payment has been processed and the funds are available.

Have a great day.

I have a great idea. Accept the things you can't  change because no amount of crying about is  going to change  it.

Find somewhere else to sell if you can't deal with it.
