Hi All,
I'm having an issue where I've received payment from buyers on multiple transactions and the funds show up as available (not blocked or processing), but eBay isn't paying them out to my bank. It's odd because I've made sales in the past and received payments to the same account with no issue. I've made several calls to customer service but not having any success in getting paid, which is of course very frustrating. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as who to contact at eBay for a resolution?
Thanks!

Currently undergoing the same issue, Money is available in my account, not on "hold" or pending". However it says "no payment scheduled". I've contacted eBay support twice now on the phone and was told it was "a glitch in their system" and "a IT member would email/contact me to fix the issue". Its now been 16 days since my last payment with no updates or help from eBay.
Absolutely ridiculous, the fact that I'm out THE PRODUCT, SHIPPING COSTS... AND THE PAYMENT?!
Makes it quite difficult to run a smooth business.

I'm glad to hear that eBay was able to fix your payout issue.
I have not had a payout in seven days, which was the day I confirmed my social security number. I had to endure several cheery sounding women at eBay customer service over the course of the last week as I tried to find out what caused the problem and what, if anything I could do to help solve it. They were quick to "escalate" my request to fix the problem and told me to keep waiting. One even told me to expect a payout the next morning.
This afternoon, I was lucky enough to speak to a man at eBay customer service who admitted that I was one of many sellers experiencing a problem that had been known to eBay for several weeks. He tried to blame it on the U.S. government now requiring that eBay send out a 1099-K to every seller who made at least $600 in sales last year. I told him that i never had a problem receiving a timely 1099-K from PayPal in the last twenty years, and he admitted that eBay hadn't anticipated so many problems in generating 1099-K forms. Their lawyers made each seller confirm their social security numbers before eBay could send a 1099-K. Unfortunately, their software could not enter data correctly without suspending payouts. I learned that sellers would have a big red banner next to their name if their social security numbers were not entered properly into eBay's system, but payouts were still being blocked even after the red banner was cleared. So once more I have no I idea if I have to wait two more days or two weeks for eBay to fix the problem. All I know is the first of the month is near, and my creditors do not want to hear from eBay support in a foreign accent how I am a valued customer who signed up 22 years ago (which is all they tell me, other than keep waiting).
I have been noticing that eBay is now trying to earn interest from sellers who need a business loan, just as PayPal does. Now that eBay is in the payment processing business, they see what kind of collateral each seller has for them. I wondered today: how much interest eBay would charge me to loan me the $1500 in available funds they have refused to send me in the last week? If eBay were a good employer, they would apologize to their sellers who haven't been paid for a week due to the company's inability to send out tax documents. Perhaps they might even make an interest-free loan since they already have our money?

"He tried to blame it on the U.S. government now requiring that eBay send out a 1099-K to every seller who made at least $600 in sales last year. " The CSR you were talking with was WRONG. This does not start until 1/1/2022. So it can NOT be affecting the 1099Ks that are being generated for 2021.
Ebay has a legal requirement to have 1099Ks released by the end of January. Ebay is NOT behind or late yet.
"I have been noticing that eBay is now trying to earn interest from sellers..." How in the world did you come to this conclusion? What did you see that told you Ebay is earning interest? As far as I know to earn interest on funds, you MUST literally have that money. Since EBay does NOT process the money, they never have custody of it. That is what they hired another firm to handle. So I Ebay doesn't have your money, why or how could they possibly be earning interest on it?
"If eBay were a good employer, they would apologize to their sellers..." What? Sellers don't work for Ebay, they never have. We are NOT employees of Ebay!!

Just saying- you wouldn't be so cheery - if ebay bought one of everything in your store (600 items avg $10 each) and didn't pay you for 30+ days. Customer has the product and happy- ebay has their fees-your out time and money. Then after hours on the phone- still no solution. And the answer I received is just not acceptability- as they don't see "eye to eye" with my bank-and I'm punished?

My payments have been on hold since 1/10/22. I had two sales prior in 2022 and the payments went through. Ebay is now holding $235 for the past 17 days. I have done everything asked of me - even though my bank account is the same for the past 8 years, I re-entered my banking information twice. I have been selling steadily on Ebay for 20 years. No months or years off. I am still waiting. I have been back and forth on the phone and via email. They keep insisting it is my bank account???? I sell on other online platforms and NOBODY else is having any issues with my bank account. In the interim, on 1/11/22 I deactivated all of my listings. So this would be the longest ever that I had no items up for sale on Ebay. I should have had ebay cancel the two sales until they figured out what the problem was. I would have my merchandise that would have sold on another site. And yes, Ebay took the fees out immediately. HMMM????

I responded to this post right before you did. I might add - my payment status is exactly the same - I see my balance with no hold and no processing and yet no deposit date.

"Cheery". You do love to twist what I say to meet your needs. Most every single time you respond to me, you are saying I said things that I never said nor did I imply. I don't know why you have a need to do that as I'm pretty darn good at saying what I mean, but you repeatedly do this for your own reasons.
Anyone having their money held is a problem. A problem for many reasons to include the seller's ability to survive. Each and every one of these situations are important and Ebay needs to be doing more than they are to fix this problem for everyone affected.
Now if you'd like to carry on a reasonable and productive discussion, I'm happy to do that. How about just discussing what I ACTUALLY say, not what you imagine I said.

The Hold spot that we can all see on our Summary page for MP is NOT for when Ebay holds funds due to a Performance Review, being a new or returning seller, or any other similar reason.
The Hold spot on the Summary report is ONLY for funds held due to claims, chargebacks or return requests.

The value of a community forum such as this is to discover that other members have the same problem and to see what possible solutions they offer. The problem here is admitted by eBay: their software's inability to input sellers' social security numbers often results in that seller's payouts from occurring, even though everything with their account is in good standing. eBay keeps taking their fees out of available funds which as soon as sales are made. eBay's solution is simply to wait until they fix the problem and to escalate the cases of those sellers who complain about the problem.
I posted a possible solution, For those who have gone a week or more without payouts, eBay should give an interest free loan. Most of us have noticed that eBay, in partnership with Lending Tree, is now in the business of making business loans, called eBay Seller Capital. I wondered what would happen if I tried to take out a loan for the amount of my "available funds" -- now close to $2000. Last night I started to apply for such a loan to learn that it would cost me $240 in interest. I am not eager to take on another $240 of debt at the end of the month when I can't get even an estimate for my next payday.
I asked: wouldn't it be nice if eBay could give sellers affected by their bug an interest free loan? After all, eBay holds the collateral for 100% of such a loan. eBay could engineer such interest free loans to be paid in full within a week of the resumption of scheduled payouts. I'm not asking if this is likely, but if any other sellers think it might be a good solution to a problem which created a long thread and still no published apology from eBay that I know of.

"eBay keeps taking their fees out of available funds which as soon as sales are made." That is pending funds. Funds do not become available immediately upon a buyer making the sale and paying.
"eBay's solution is simply to wait until they fix the problem and to escalate the cases of those sellers who complain about the problem." Please provide a link to where you read that this is the process. Ebay has 19 million sellers worldwide, this kind of policy would be enormously hurtful to the site worldwide.
"I wondered what would happen if I tried to take out a loan for the amount of my "available funds" -- now close to $2000." Ebay doesn't offer any such program. It is not one of their tools in the toolbox available to you. And there isn't likely to be one in the near future. I'm confident the sellers and Ebay alike would much prefer to work out whatever issue there is preventing Payouts from happening.
I can only imagine how frustrating this is for all the sellers going through this. I sure know how I'd feel if it were my money being held up.
FYI, we do not know if Ebay is having a problem recording SSNs. That is an assumptions some posters have made. Ebay has not said that. Besides it isn't logical in the first place. Ebay already has the SSNs for the vast majority of the sellers that needed to submit it. I do not know what the current issue is, but it isn't likely the recording of the SSN.

I'm having the same problem. They owe me money and it's just one excuse after another . Or we promise yada,yada,Yada,,.....blah blah blah. Funny how they will let you open up an account without even having a checking account and let you sell things on top of it. They don't verify anything first. **bleep** poor policy . They have scanmers on here 24/7 and it's bull**bleep** they try and scam you everytime you list a new item . They over bid on it then don't pay then ask you to call them or message them via cell phone. They never pay. Wonder if that's ebay doing that ??? Without sellers there is no money for them. They have some company managing their money instead of themselves or pay pal. Why should they legally get their money first and hold sellers money and they keep saying they are NOT making interest off our funds. Another lie . It's all excuses and seems very common they are not paying people money for selling the things they own and play games with you to hold your money longer. One big game and a ton of excuses. Foul and I'll be seeing what my options are through an attorney and yes it's illegal what they are doing. Wish someone would open up a legitimate business kinda like eBay but better with people in customer service you can actually understand. They have our bank info why can't we have theirs?? Bull**bleep** !!

@Anonymous
There are over 18 million sellers that actively use this site. I'm sorry you feel you are having issues, but no Ebay doesn't do that to everyone. With more experience you will likely understand more of the rules.
They are not "scanmers". "They over bid on it then don't pay" Who is "they", certainly not Ebay. "...then ask you to call them or message them via cell phone." If you have a buyer that does that, you can be 100% confident they are trying to steal from you. NEVER EVER take your communication or the payment of an item off Ebay. "Wonder if that's ebay doing that ???" You seriously need to learn more about on line selling. If a buyer doesn't pay, Ebay earns nothing. There is no benefit to Ebay for this action by a buyer.
The site is dependent on BOTH buyers and sellers. No buyers without sellers, no sellers without buyers.
Prove it. If they are lying about earning interest on the money, Prove it. Instead of trying to sling mud and sheer gossip, back up what you say.
Good luck with your attorney. It will be an expensive lesson, but one it appears will do you good.
"They have our bank info why can't we have theirs??" Just when I though you would say anything sillier than what you previously said. OMG.
You are a NEW seller. And because of that there are rules you will have to adhere to, like them or not.
Ebay has had a rule for many years that pertains to New Seller and sellers that have been away from selling for 90+ days. The following is the policy that outlines why you money is likely on hold.

I am now having the same issue all of a sudden. until this afternoon I was having daily payouts for the last several months with no problems. but then today after my funds processed this afternoon and became available it doesn't show a payout date like it always did before instead it says, 'no payout sheduled". did this ever get resolved for the person who started this thread or is it an ongoing problem still? Can you help me get this fixed?
PS if anyone else reads this please dont tell me its because of the new seller policy, these funds were already on hold and the hold is now over which is why they are listed as available for payout instead of being listed in the "on hold' section

So you are assuming you have a problem? Could the system just be a little behind? Has your money cleared pending and is now in Available?
