Why does eBay get to keep my available;ab;e find but I can't use my available funds to pay for anyth

Why does eBay have full access to my available funds whereas I do not they can use my available funds to pay for their stupid fees and their transaction fees and their other fees but I can't use them to pay to have a restriction lifted they just get to keep my money locked up so they can collect the interest on it and I don't get anything but a hard time dealing with all these customer service representatives who just tell me 72 hours 24 to 72 business hours you'll have full access oh wait we're all lying cuz that's all we do is lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie that's how many times I've been lied to in 3 days I serve this country for 12 years just to be lied to and to have my money stolen out from under me

Regarding 'why' is because that is how the system is set up. Ebay doesn't 'get' their money until the payment source has been settled, even if it shows 'deducted' immediately (no different than you using debit/credit card at Walmart- they don't 'get the money' immediately.

You can use 'pending' funds to purchase the shipping labels.

Sounds like you've got some type of hold due to account not being set up yet?

Did you open a merchant account giving them a checking account number to deposit in?

If so, have you ever been paid for anything you sold in November/December in that account?

I can use my available funds for shipping labels, and to make purchases. I can even shop with funds that are processing.

I must say that I do not know what......    use them to pay to have a restriction lifted .....   means.

Looking at your feedback and Ebay removing some of your listings, I'd say your selling days here are about over.

Why is your account restricted?

that's why it is called a "restriction" you are restricted from doing anything with it. for instance if you sold some things and never shipped them and this caused the restriction you can't use the money being held to fix the problem. you would need to fix it with a external money source, i.e. bank account, credit card, etc

it would be wise to read over the various reasons why ebay may place a restriction and how it is lifted or how long it may take, usually it is entirely dependent upon your actions.

some restrictions are permanent.... and nothing you do afterwards will fix it.
some/most are automatic and then require appropriate action on your end that then usually requires a human to review and verify things and that sometimes takes time as well as there other people in line ahead of you or it has to be sent to higher up's that are also backlogged.

there are all kinds situations going on at any given time.

Frankly, even some of the neutrals were really understanding customers that could easily have neg too.

80% is not a good feedback rating

One seller recently had a 25% feedback rating (yes 25% those on this board remember that) yet possessed the Rolling Stones to come on this board and complain about how they were being treated.

He may still be selling. You may be permitted to continue to sell.

Sorry to ramble,

I guess my point is that if I was getting away with what should never be happening on this platform, I would hope to at least have the little sense that was given to a Sloth to KEEP A LOW PROFILE instead of making public pronouncements.

Dealing with this SAME INJUSTICE RIGHT NOW - stressed , laughed, cried, did the calm conversation, kind conversations , every which way , when I’ve called or they have called me back. With same **bleep**.  3 days or escalate.  lol stupid eBay. Congrats on five years - we don’t care should be their motto fml good luck let us know how it goes
