Just lie the title says..............
Who else is massively disappointed by the managed payments way of doing things?
I recently was asked to register and set up for new managed payments on my seller account. After a few sales I can say that I am so unhappy with the way that ebay have implemented this.
Why do we have to wait so long for the money to clear? What exactly is going on here. It's pretty outrageous. 4 days to be sent to the bank, and then more days for it to clear in the bank, as opposed to the immediate clearance under the old system when it was payed into paypal. I want my money straight away. It's enough that ebay wants to take over the odds for their charges. I can just about live with that, but to delay the payout, undoubtedly making something from MY money in the process is just outrageous.
The customer service and the ability to talk to a human if anything goes wrong, which it has on a few occasions, just adds insult to injury.
Something needs to be done.
I'm seriously thinking of leaving ebay and finding another way to sell online. It's an unfair and unjust system in place now, and I don't think people should put up with it. Whoever thought this up needs to be sacked. It's just plain wrong.

When you make a purchase at your neighborhood store or ANY store for that matter,
do you think the money goes from the cash drawer directly into the owners pocket or bank account without any delay? If so, you don't understand how business works.
If you can't wait a few days for your money, perhaps selling online is not for you.

It's not a change for the better. In an age where ebay can take its share immediately and you have to wait is not progress. When other cheerleaders tell sellers that they need to raise prices or change their ways, it proves this new thing is a failure for the seller and a success for ebay.

This reply is getting old. Try to find another. It doesn't work for all sellers. It does work for ebay. Not progress for the sellers only ebay.

eBay cheerleaders need to stop comparing businesses that earn millions/billions a day to people who sell on here & might get $300-400 per week!

the lag is terrible. it's taken way to long to get a "payout" and now its still not in my bank account and i am paying out of pocket for postage because no funds..... ugh!!!

Bringing up the old days of waiting for payment through the mail is not relevant. We did advance to a faster way to get paid. Now they want to go back in time & make it slower again?? It's nonsense.

I Love it! More details on financial info. Any delays don't bother me bc the $$ always gets into my account.

I've just moved on and adapted, easy peasy.

this thing is only a failure to the sellers who cant hack it
ebay raised the bar a bit and so a few will fall by the wayside..........thank heavens for that!
not a fan of amazon but they recently posted that only about 8% of selers make it thru on the first application to sell there.
I think making it harder to sell is a good thing
if you make it too easy to rip people off you will just have alibaba
I never heard of anyone taking them seriously
keep on ebayin

*snip*When a buyer would pay using a credit/debit card, do you think Pay Pal received the funds instantly, no they did not, they had to wait to receive the funds also.
The reason they gave us instant access to the funds is because they knew the buyers payment was good and they would be receiving the funds from the buyer in a few days.
Fascinating... somehow PayPal knows - but MP doesn't ?
MP knows also, but like most payment processors, they don't send you the funds until they receive them.

It's all how you look at it.
Sure, it takes a couple days to receive the funds, which is no big deal.
Now, buyers have more ways they can pay.
No more monthly invoice to pay.
If you have to refund, you get your fee's back, all but the $0.30, Pay Pal would have kept all their fee's.
No more transferring funds from Pay Pal to your checking account.
You can use the pending funds to cover shipping.
It might be fairly new for some on Ebay, but I've been using the same program for 5 or 6 years now on another site, so it's not a new thing.

That's because they don't want it to work for them.
The system works just fine, if they give it a chance.

If sellers understood how credit/debit card processing and payment processors work, there wouldn't be all this complaining about it.
It doesn't matter how much you make, if buyers pay using a credit/debit card, it takes a few days to receive the funds.

Why don't you use the pending funds to cover shipping?
There's no reason you should be paying the shipping up front.

We really don't care. There was a system in place we were 100% pleased with & the greed of eBay just grows & ruins the little joy we had left with selling on here.
