Where do my "on hold" funds go after being "released" ?

Where do my "on hold" funds go after being "released" ?

Ebay is not helping. Anyone know where I can look to actually see the funds back in my account?

Re: Where do my "on hold" funds go after being "released" ?

Were you on MP in February when the funds were held or have you been switched in the interim?

If funds were held prior to MP they may have been refunded to your paypal account

When money that is on hold is released, it moves to your Available Funds.  While you may disagree with what they call it, that is what happens.  You should be able to see this on the detailed transaction report.

Re: Where do my "on hold" funds go after being "released" ?

I had funds placed on hold on February 8. The case was finally closed last Sunday. I was covered by the Ebay Global Shipping and my funds were released. I DO NOT see the funds in my last last or current processing payouts. Where should I look for it?

If it cleared on Sunday [yesterday] it can take a couple of days for it to clear into your Available funds.  If you are talking about Sunday [a week ago], then that is something you will likely have to call Ebay on.

Have you looked in your Detailed Transactions Report to see if you can find it there?

Yes I was. I've had MP for about 8 months now. Hate it!

How do I see the "Available Funds" details on fund releases?

I only see recent auction transactions in available funds.

I see a list  transactions, but how do I see "detailed" transactions that show the auction fund releases?

I need to see where these "released" funds end up.

Re: Where do my "on hold" funds go after being "released" ?

Ebay knows nothing and I've been on several phone and chats with them. Spent over 3 hours in a chat with them on Sunday and they kept transferring me to to other departments. I chatted with 5 ebay representatives on Sunday and NO ONE could tell me where the "Released funds" ended up. They only told me the funds were released.

No. Only ebay payouts get deposited and I can not see many of the released funds in the payouts.

Yes I am and that's where I am not seeing the "released funds" in these payouts. I can get to a page that has the entire list of my released funds, but then I can't find them in my weekly payouts which matters the most because that is where I actually see and receive the money.

Seems you just need to spend some time with each section of the Payment's tab in the Seller Hub.  There are various sections in that tab that will give you all kinds of information.  The detailed transaction report is under reports and is downloadable into a worksheet program.

MP does not just cover auctions.  It covers payment you receive on Fixed Price listings too.

There are also detailed reports for every Payout you get too.  The Payment's tab has all kinds of information.  Get in there and go section by section so you can get familiar with what is available to you.

Re: Where do my "on hold" funds go after being "released" ?

I just received a payout.
Here was the summary
Received funds
$914.10
Funds on hold
-$38.00
Funds released
$0.00
Payout amount
$876.10

NO WHERE in the details of the payout does it show any funds being held. Where would I find this info?

Re: Where do my "on hold" funds go after being "released" ?

Ah ha ha!

Where do your funds go? 😂

If Ebay told you that, they'd have to kill you.

Serious answer: They go to a secret vault deep in the bowels of Ebay, where they are quarantined indefinitely while Ebay calculates & deducts listing fees, taxes, discounts, surcharges, e-transfer fees, bold-font-value-added-tax, Nigerian-Banker-Prince Protection Insurance, and cab fare for Maury in accounting. Once released from quarantine, your funds must be vaccinated, which could take up to 12 weeks if you're over 65 and have pre-existing conditions. Upon completion & certification of vaccination, your funds will be instantly e-transferred to your bank account in a rusty lockbox on the back of a donkey cart. Depending on the distance of your bank from Ebay's vault (and how fast the donkey walks), your funds should arrive before the next leap year. Once your funds arrive at your bank, the bank may quarantine them until the donkey is fed & watered. At this point the funds will be released to you ( except for the debit they forgot to make for shipping charges, which should come just in time to overdraw your account and cause your rent check to bounce).

It's all very straightforward, and your Ebay experience has been greatly improved!

Now stop asking so many questions! 😆

It wouldn't.  A Payout report is for the funds that are contained in the Payout.  So if the money is still being held at the time of this payout, then it will not show.

@theoriginalgoldfinger

For those willing to look, the information on a seller's MP account is located in the Seller Hub under the Payment Tab.  There is no secret other than you need to look at the various reports and information in this section.

Re: Where do my "on hold" funds go after being "released" ?

   @inkblot66

Funds that are released from a Hold by eBay go directly to Your Available Funds (Ready for Next Payout - Daily or Weekly)

You can see the 'Breakdown' for all of your Past Payouts (for 90 days?) in the Seller Hub under Payments click on Payouts in the drop-down menu Then select a Payout ID ... A drop-down menu in this Field will allow you to filter the by Type of Transaction.

You might have to do a little manual searching but your information should be there..

Hope this Helps You Some ...
