The one time 6 digital code gets annoying now! It does it more than once!!!

So, as of 3 days ago( 7/16/2022) until just 25 mins(approx') I get to my shopping cart and Click on the Paypal tab to pay. After that,I get a new window and a text message for a 6 digit code..that's ok(if its a "one time code")..but today was 2 times within 7 hours. The one 3 days ago was 3 different times in 20 hours and 2 were 40 mins apart..this thing of a "one time code"????? So is this a new security measure, the get a code on every single transaction, hoo boy! Has this happened to anyone else or again is this the new way of buying now, click tab-then get 6 digit code? It gets a little annoying,2 weeks ago to about at least a few years,I do the security protocols and after my 2nd item I get this..."We recognize your device"..which was actually a relief..but now that don't even pop up...Moral to post and what I'm asking....."Why does "one time code pop up on every single transaction whether its back to back or after 40 mins or 7 to 20 hours later?Any answer or info is appreciate,thx...John

Because it is a one-time code-- you enter it to sign into PayPal once. Unless you choose to have that device remember you, you will need another one-time code every time you log in because it is only good for a single login.

I also get those same texts about 10 times or more a day. Of course when I log in I get one and then they also ask me if they can trust this device and I hit yes but obviously they never do trust it. If I go to look at a buyers feedbacks to see if they leave any for sellers I get a text message. When I go to look at my payment status I get a text message, if I send a buyer a message I get a text message and a captcha. When I purchase something I get one. Plus for other simple tasks we all normally do. Its getting annoying and it makes a person feel like they are being harassed. I know its for security reasons which I appreciate but it can feel like they are going a little overboard.
