I want my ebay "payout" NOT to go to my bank but back to the paypal account. Everything has been set up there for 20 years and I have learned to used PP effectively for managing this money. My Paypal account is connected to a variety of accounts - set up perfectly for me - and I've been a seller on there since 2001. I don't think I am alone! Any way to go back to the 'old' way? There should be an option, no? Already my accounts, payouts and profit disbursement system and paying my bills are in disarray, and this is primarily because the bank doesn't give me any options to distribute my money - now mingling with other incomes - not good for me - and since the bank is entirely inflexible, I cannot imagine a work-around. Thank you.

Open a new bank account just for eBay, you can sign up for a No-Fee online account in just a couple of minutes.
Use the new account as your MP account, transfer the funds from that account to PayPal if you like or just set up your new account to handle the payouts & disbursements.
Managed Payments payouts MUST go to a bank, PayPal is NOT a bank. Perhaps one day PayPal will get a bank charter but until (if ever) that happens MP will not transfer funds directly to PayPal.

You had months to prepare for this. Simply open a checking account to deal with this - change is inevitable.

With eBay it's their way or the highway.

I am by no means an ebay cheerleader and I feel your pain. The last think I wanted to do was give ebay the number to my bank atm. Eventually if I wanted to continue to sell I had to figure it out. I did by opening another checking account specifically for ebay. I do my payouts once a week and still keep up on my records and all other payments needed. Sorry you do not like it, but we either adapt or die and I am for making money. Plus the total fees have saved me an additional $300 last month in profit to my pocket.

@klakster Sadly MP was about eBay improving their cash flow and delaying a Seller's cash flow. It is not a Seller friendly program. I too was all set with how I handled the eBay business with PayPal ... MP just ruined all of that and is costing more time to manage. I opened a new bank account and added a credit card with that bank to separate the eBay business ...

Those of you who want to keep doing business with Paypal - you do realize, I hope, that Paypal is not a bank and that any funds in your Paypal account are NOT protected by banking laws and that, should something happen to Paypal, your money could just disappear and you would have NO recourse to get it back.

God willing PayPal will get a bank chapter, a simple and obvious brilliant move, and that way we can get account and routing numbers that link right to our account. Boom. Problem solved.
If Credit Karma can do it, PayPal can easily. Credit Karma didn't even start as a financial institution.
I love my PayPal debit card and I love PayPal Working Capital so I hope they figure this out, because eBay has no viable options for this.
At the very least, PayPal could figure out a way to instantly transfer funds INTO PayPal instead of it taking DAYS. I can transfer funds out in seconds, I can send funds in seconds, someone can send me funds in seconds.... Hell, I can have someone send me $1,000 and then turn around them and send it to them right back via PayPal using my banks debit card but can't transfer money from my bank into PayPal instantly? This seems like it would be so simple. Charge us that 1% fee. Hell, I'll pay it.

Yes, months. Yet no one knows how a program will work until it is implemented.

Where is this mysterious free online bank account? I've been looking and most of the ones I've found come with lots of other restrictions like you also have to have a savings account or you have to use your debit card x number of times per month or have x number of deposits per month. None that I have found have been truly free with no strings attached.

I agree that eBay was being way too secretive about some things, but the fact remains that we had plenty of time and enough information to plan alternative means of handling finances - this didn't just jump out of a bush at us.

I use a local bank. Zero fees, no minimum amount required in the account, no requirement for a certain number of transactions per month/use of a debit card a certain number of times a month.

You really need a separate checking account for the money from eBay.
