Ebay has restricted my selling capabilities for refusing to join mp. I can't list new items, which is fine because I am listing them on my own site. The real problem is I cannot edit items. So for an item I have multiple listed of, I can't lower the amount I have listed. So now that I sold something locally I can't change my ebay listing to reflect that which means eventually someone will buy it and then I have to cancel their order. They are still allowing me to sell, but just not to do it properly. In their quest to fleece the sellers they are hurting the buyers too.
Ebay is the worst company I have ever done business with in my life. They are dying and I am glad I have the ability to continue my business without them. MP Is the final nail in the coffin for ebay. Hundreds of thousands of sellers have quit over it already and its just going to get worse and worse as sellers like me leave. The only thing that will be left on ebay is china **bleep** and direct sales from corporations.

My account has also been restricted for the same reason. I think the best resolution would be to end the listings that are in low supply. This would help you to avoid the nonsense of having to cancel orders and pay the consequences that e-bay inflicts on its sellers and save you $$$.

I believe if you export your items to Bonanza you can LINK to Ebay, but not have to do the Managed Payments. Also, if you have your own site you should be able to link to Ebay but ask your customers to buy through your site. There are other sites that link to Ebay and have alternate payments, you have to search.

you have to contact the ebay and get some idea from them. on the ebay there are some rules and regulation because the make some limitation. go to the help and contact.

Just cancel the items when they sell and apologize for ebay's problems - if you are no longer selling on ebay - who cares if your metrics get screwed up?

Be glad u didn't join it's a nightmare.
Only eBay cheerleader seem to Loki mp.

Not sure why you would expect Ebay to make it easy for you to continue to sell when you choose not to follow their rules......ie sign up for MP......

I did not sign up for this garbage either !! Basically it is ebay making our business theirs and I will not have no part of it !! I have been a seller nearly 20 years and this is the worst thing ebay has ever done ! I hope enough sellers leave that ebay falls flat on their face !!

I think the reason that existing listings remain under the old rules is to provide a transition period for sellers while they convert to maanged payments. If you are not going to join Managed Payments, I doubt eBay wants you selling here at all.
In their quest to fleece the sellers they are hurting the buyers too.
I suspect that buyers will simply buy a similar item from a similar seller at a similar price and move on.
To sum up --- FU to every single person
I suspect this sort of attitude may be one of the reasons why sellers are restricted during the transition to managed payments.
Hundreds of thousands of sellers have quit over it already and its just going to get worse and worse as sellers like me leave.
That same prediction has been made on this board about pretty much every change that eBay has made for the past couple decades. Although "hundreds of thousands" of sellers like you may have left during Q2, eBay's dollar volume of merchandise sold grew 26% worldwide and 34% domestically. Some might argue you are overestimating your impact on eBay.

Are you joking? eBay has messed with seller funds countless times in the past.
Etc.
I do believe more sellers are leaving than some may care to admit
It's hard to "admit" something that no one outside eBay actually knows.
For me the most objective measure of buyer or seller acceptance of eBay is the GMV number they report every quarter. IMHO when that number declines by an amount that is unprecedented, that will signal to me that the loss of buyers or sellers is unprecendented.

Look, I hate MP with passion - having to go to a bank to open a separate account, just so that you could receive random amount of money at random intervals will do this every time, but it's not like PayPal has been all that awesome recently.

I really am amazed by all of this! It is their platform, hence, they make the rules and conditions that allow us to buy and sell. If you don't like it, then move forward and find another path. Please, don't sit with frustration or anger. There are just too many other reasons to be unhappy these days, the least of which should be Ebay changes.
Easy fix. Unhappy......change course.
To your future success,
Grandma

No I am not joking ! There is nothing to joke about ! Ebay has hijacked the control from the sellers and there is no other way to see it ! Simply put it is a money control issue and ebay wants the control !! Why should you care or ebay care how a sellers chooses to receive the funds ! Ebay has robbed the seller from any choices except to stop selling ! Is ebay so smug that they just do not care ?? Unfortunately the answer is yes !! They do not care !!

Oh, snitfit. I haven't sold in over 6 months because I've been busy with a temporary job, but since it ended I decided to come here first to check what might be new and all and see what folks are saying . . . **bleep**!
I've read their page about it, and of course it is clear as mud. How does it actually work?
