Request a new total

How does a buyer request a new total for multiple buy it now items in their shopping cart?

When you go to pay for them it will show the total.

Using a desktop browser, if the items can be combined and there is not already a shipping discount, there should be a "Request total" link in the upper right corner of the cart.

you need to  agree to purchase first but not pay and just click on add to cart and then the seller can see them. Many potential buyers place items they want in their cart without purchasing so the seller cannot see them that way

Has this process changed recently? I'm not seeing a 'Request New Total' button anymore.

I'm finding I need to waste both mine and the seller's time documenting combined shipping policy, and requesting a partial refund after the fact.

Not all sellers offer combined shipping; not all purchases may qualify. Some auctions and offers may require a payment method to be specified in advance and cannot be combined at checkout.

Typically that link is only available when using a desktop browser.

No recent changes @tirp-45 . Make sure you're on the classic web browser. The link to request total does not appear on the app - and I'm not sure if it appears on mobile web.
