Payouts keep failing PLEASE HELP

I have 16 payouts that ebay owes me since end of May, and not ONE has been deposited in my chequings account. I am in Canada with the CIBC. I have updated and validated the same chequings account, transit and institution number over and over and over again. I have had this account for over 40 years. In the recent past, ebay has even taken money from this account.

Ebay claims the info I gave them does not match up with the info my bank has about me, and so some agents say that my bank is blocking the deposits. Some agents have hinted at the possibility that the glitch is internal to ebay and that something is not clicking with my account. Other agents have claimed that the problem is my bank info or my bank itself. My bank says my info is correct, my account is correct (and that is accepts US funds), and that they will never ever ever block deposits. I have no way of knowing the COMPLETE bank info ebay has about me because the agents only have the last 4 digits of the account. I have never spoken to the same agent twice is a row, so I need to reexplain the situation again and again and again. I have been unable to speak to a supervisor. Two agents I spoke to said they were going to call me back in a few days, and they never did.

This has been going on for 2 months. Not one single deposit for the entire summer. I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown. I have spoken to dozens of managed payments agents. What else can I do? I feel betrayed by ebay.

Re: Payouts keep failing PLEASE HELP

A fast look at your history through your feedback and youy were not selling for a long time.

eBay treats such as you are a new seller and places holds on moneys.

You are  allso selling items that have a high fraud (counterfeit rate), (high rate of returns)

Not saying your are or are not.

Just a high risk area for ebay...

Holds can and will be placed on sellers sales for such..

This problem and the holds may not be due to MP.

Has you been getting notices that payments have failed???

Re: Payouts keep failing PLEASE HELP

There are no holds - The payouts have been sent over and over and over again. At the end of the line, they are blocked. The emails I get are _Ebay has sent your payouts_ followed by _We are into a problem sending your payouts_ and _please verify your bank info_

Re: Payouts keep failing PLEASE HELP

Are saying since you switched over to Managed Payments that you NEVER had money go into your checking account?   If that is the case...I would doublecheck that the NAME on your checking account, EBAY profile page and other documentation are EXACT MATCH.   You cannot use nicknames.  Whose name is shown on your EBAY profile page (owner of EBAY account)?  Bank account and other documentation needs to be under that person's name.

There are no nicknames - the same full name in ebay and in my bank.  Exact match

Re: Payouts keep failing PLEASE HELP

When you entered to checking account# for your Managed Payments...you are only supposed to input ROUTING NUMBER only (usually 9-digit number of left hand side of check).    Not entire checking account# (includes extra numbers they don't need).  Could that be problem?

Re: Payouts keep failing PLEASE HELP

I was asked for transit, institution and account number

I was also asked to provide a screenshot of my bank statement. The numbers I provided match with the numbers of the screenshot.

I wish I could see what they have, and how they are computing it.

Re: Payouts keep failing PLEASE HELP

Well, I have run out of ideas.   Perhaps you could try contacting EBAY on Facebook (they have solved many problems that overseas agents cannot).

Good luck and I hope your problem gets solved quickly.

Re: Payouts keep failing PLEASE HELP

If I look at my account number, on my bank statement it looks like this (numbers ARE FAKE / MADE UP) are made up for my example

account number: 09-78935

are you saying I should only enter 78935

Re: Payouts keep failing PLEASE HELP

Is your account and payout choice both in Canadian dollars?

There seem to be more problems with Canadian accounts when the payout is in $US.

Someone mentioned on .ca boards a while ago that the problem in their case was the birthdate because there was in the difference in the way month/date/year was entered on ebay compared to how it was entered at the bank so you might want to check that.

You might want to post on the .ca boards and ask if anyone else has had a problem with payouts to their CIBC in case they know of a simple fix.  I wouldn't count on it but it can't hurt to ask.

Check your routing number.

Re: Payouts keep failing PLEASE HELP

For many years, Canadians used the USA eBay site with no problems (there might not have been a Canada eBay site in the beginning). Then several years ago, it was announced that Canadians could no longer use the eBay.com site for selling. Do you have a CA eBay account on the ebay.ca site?

This is the USA eBay.com. Another Canadian seller has posted that eBay.com stated in writing that a USA bank was required for that seller's US eBay account with Managed Payments.

Re: Payouts keep failing PLEASE HELP

I will look into the birthdate option - maybe that will lead me to something.

I have fixed how my postal code is provided so that they match (on ebay and in CIBC), as well as how I name my street (rue in French vs street in English), so that they match. I will see if anyone on ebay.ca can help

thank you

Re: Payouts keep failing PLEASE HELP

Go to your bank and have them point out exactly what numbers are your "routing number" for wire transfers.

I would also call EBAY and explain the problem and have them doublecheck information "if something is misspelled or number is transposed" that would be a problem.

I am assuming you linked your CHECKING ACCOUNT (transfer won't work with savings account).

@matts0421

another Canadian sell recently posted about an MP payout issue that eBay had somehow gotten banks confused, and it took time to straighten it out to get it actually going where it belonged.

Let me se if I can tag her in for her input on the problem as it related to her account. May, may not help.
