Here is a example of a $25 item before and after the change to managed payments. I can understand a small increase but more than 40% more is ridiculous!
Total on a $25 item:
Was 2.90
Now 4.10
2.90 x 40% = $1.16 (so more than 40% more)
Can someone please explain whats going on?!
Now I know I had a paypal fee (total $1.14 on this item) so this is only slightly more expensive but I thought eBay whole selling point of managed payment was more money in the sellers pocket.

Managed Payments fees charged on (purchase price + shipping costs + sales tax) plus 30 cents per transaction.
Don't know what country you are located in...you are in USA chat room. You may have slightly different rules in your country. Better if you go to EBAY link for your country.

"... but I thought eBay whole selling point of managed payment was more money in the sellers pocket."
That's ^^^ where you're confused.

So, you're just going to conveniently ignore the PayPal fee that would've been charged on this item? How can you just leave out the PayPal fee and compare the cost to sell the item?
The payment processing fee for Managed Payments is included in your first computation. You're just going to leave out the payment processing fee for PayPal?
How about comparing apples to apples?
Total on a $25 item:
Was 2.90 + $1.14 Paypal fee* = $4.04
Now 4.10
So more than 1.5% ($.06 more)
*I didn't check your math--just took the amount from your post.

I wasn't ignoring paypal, I guess it just hurts more seeing it all in 1 number from one place. I wrote this message when I was upset and added the paypal part once I looked into things a bit more.

Well, yes, you were ignoring PayPal.
So how much does it hurt to see the correct figures when comparing them correctly? That the increase for the transaction was SIX CENTS, or 1.5%.
Maybe they'd let you change the title of this thread from:
"New to manage payment and WOW!!! did the fee's go UP BY MORE THAN 40%!!!!!!"
to:
"New to manage payment and WOW!!! did the fee's go UP BY MORE THAN 1.5%!!!!!!"

I have a ebay store and as of right now it still states the fee is 10%

You're looking at the wrong page. The page you linked and provided the snippet from is for sellers who are still using PayPal as their payment processor. Look at that link/page again, where it says:
You need to look at this page instead: Store selling fees for managed payments sellers
And this chart:

I propose the following:
"New to manage payment and WOW!!! my PayPal fees are down by 100%!!!!!!!"

I don’t know how you guys do math but my fees the old way including PayPal was around 10% give or take a point. Now I’m averaging a minimum of 13% and up to 21%. Now eBay thinks there cute by including the tax in the total percentage which is a sneaky way of trying to hide this ridiculous increase in fees. If haven’t noticed the difference in your bottom line you are frickin’ blind!
