Managed payments hell

Wow I'm so frustrated with ebay's new managed payments. Clearly they rolled out a feature without testing it. How they can have someone so hare brained in their IT department I have no idea. They just created a giant mess for themselves with a ton of people trying to call them to solve these issues, I'm sure. Anyway so I made a mistake entering my bank account number for management payments. Now, there is no way to correct this bank account info. There is only an option to add a new bank account. But get this, to do that I must verify the old, incorrect bank account number. Which of course doesn't exist. So there is no way for me to add any bank account, or correct the current one. NICE ONE EBAY! To add to this, every time I try to contact them I get a message saying that they're closed and to try during business hours. Which of course happens during business hours. **bleep**.

I'm done with ebay because of this no PayPal bull**bleep** and "eBay managed payments"  

 

Like I'm going to give ebay access to my bank account.

You need to call Ebay and they can help you.

He said clearly he has been calling. 

 

I think they want you now to use the chat support although that support has no reach to managed payments support.

Yeah I've been trying to call and it always says to wait and try again later without even giving me a phone number. I can't call. I'm trying to chat now and it says wait time is 30 mins. We'll see. I don't mind giving a bank account. I give Paypal a bank account so why not?

Yes, I've been pretty vocal about the challenges of actually getting to talk with someone in MP that is trained and/or able to actually assist with a problem.  At this time however, calling is all we have.  The chat is not likely going to be fruitful for you.  

 

For months now the Customer Service for MP has been FAR below what the standard of acceptable customer service would ever be.  Some sellers even being told someone would call them back in two weeks.  Other never getting a call back even though they are told they will.  It is so disrespectful of the position MP leaves sellers in that it is embarrassing to say the least.

 

Yet, continuing to call is all we have for a problem such as yours.  Those of us here would absolutely help you if we had the tools to do so, but sadly we can't on account specific issues like yours.

I wonder if the slow MP Customer Service and help available has anything to do with all the Job Openings in the Payments Section. The number of open positions keeps going up instead of down ... not sure if people are quitting or if eBay is adding more jobs because of all the need for more help. It has gone from 46 openings to 58 openings in less than a month.

 

With more countries being onboarded soon it may get worse before it gets better. Early 2021 will be France, Italy and Spain and I just read an article that Mainland China will be coming on in April 2021.

Ebay has not even send me the payout yet since yesterday, manage payment it is causing damage to my business.

Yes I'm sure it does.  Still NOT an excuse.  What it shows is they were NOT prepared to support the amount of sellers they were onboarding.  Staff should have been in place BEFORE bringing over a million sellers into the program.  That is beyond poor planning.

 

And this issue is NOT recent.  It has been going on for pushing right up to ONE YEAR.  

 

IMHO they need to STOP onboarding sellers until they get things under control and PROPER and efficient customer service can be offered.  We pay for this service in the fees we pay.  So we aren't asking for anything that we shouldn't be.  

 

And it isn't as simple as hiring people.  They need to properly train them too.  That takes time.  So we are months away from any improvement to CS even if they STOP onboarding now.  But it is what they need to do until they get their act together.  It is the RESPONSIBLE thing to do as well.  They are financially damaging sellers by their lack of or inability to provide PROPER CS.  That just shouldn't be acceptable by anyone's standards.

MP processes payouts on Business Days ONLY.  Yesterday was a Federal Holiday, so no payouts were sent.

Well I guess I know what to look forward to now. Opened up a new checking account for the managed payments.  Uploaded all the information they asked for. Uploaded more. Could not be verified. Everything is correct. I have provided everything. And good luck getting anybody on the phone at Ebay.

       Ebay wanted me to sign up so I could keep selling. I have no problem with that. But I still can't sell anything, because Ebay has no idea how to verify an account.  Whatever happened to putting .02 cents in your account and taking it back out. Because that's how Social Security,  everybody and their brother does it.

  So now I am in limbo, with my store on vacation, waiting on Ebay. Effffffffffffff

I'm in exactly the same position as you. It's going on two weeks now, and I've talked to five customer service reps who keep assuring me it's getting worked out. My bank details are all correct; I've uploaded documents and my driver's license, and they still can't get me connected.

 

An actual human was supposed to look at all my info and email me yesterday. Did they? No. Trying to get into the chat queue today with no luck, as the phone queue is closed for the day.

Does the name you have as your Ebay account PERFECTLY match your checking account you attached?  I mean perfectly, no difference at all, not even one character?  Is your address on Ebay a PO box?  If so it needs to be a street address.

 

IDK if that helps, just thought I'd mention it.

I'm dealing with a similar situation.  eBay claims that they have completed TWO payouts to my bank account but the money is nowhere to be found in my account!  In fact, it isn't even coming up as a pending payment!

 

I may have lost all my sales money, thanks to this new **bleep** system!!!
