Managed payments hell

Wow I'm so frustrated with ebay's new managed payments. Clearly they rolled out a feature without testing it. How they can have someone so hare brained in their IT department I have no idea. They just created a giant mess for themselves with a ton of people trying to call them to solve these issues, I'm sure. Anyway so I made a mistake entering my bank account number for management payments. Now, there is no way to correct this bank account info. There is only an option to add a new bank account. But get this, to do that I must verify the old, incorrect bank account number. Which of course doesn't exist. So there is no way for me to add any bank account, or correct the current one. NICE ONE EBAY! To add to this, every time I try to contact them I get a message saying that they're closed and to try during business hours. Which of course happens during business hours. **bleep**.

I'm dealing with a similar situation.  eBay claims that they have completed TWO payouts to my bank account but the money is nowhere to be found in my account!  In fact, it isn't even coming up as a pending payment!

I may have lost all my sales money, thanks to this new **bleep** system!!!

Have you verified that your bank account is accurate in MP?  If so, then you need to look to your bank for answers.  Once Mp releases transfers, it goes into the ACH banking system.  It is the banking system that is in control of the transfer from that moment on.

Why can't we just continue using paypal.  I perfectly happy with it already.

How about just using PayPal, a proven system  that works?

You're right... it HAS to be MY fault! After all, look at all the success stories this new system as, as well as the fact that customer service is rapidly available to help us!

Managed payments hell

The way I handled the bank account problem of not wanting eBay in my personal or business account was to open a new account for only eBay transactions. EBay deposits in that account once a week.  Then I can transfer those funds to other accounts if I need to. To purchase anything directly from that eBay account, my bank set me up with a debit card.  I do not use any checks on that accounts and I do not make deposits to that account. I can transfer money to or from that account if I need to but only eBay deposits to that account. I use that account as my monthly eBay payment account too.   I started that in June 2020 and it has worked great.  Make sure when you open a new eBay only account, that the name and contact information is the same as your eBay account. EBay wants the information to be the same.  IE: whatever name you have on your eBay account, your new eBay bank account need to be exactly the same. (I learned that the hard way)  Hope this helps with some of your problems.

I like it, you would get no argument out of me.  I prefer it too.  But that isn't what Ebay is going to do and this is their site.  They have the right to set the terms of use just as Amazon, Etsy, Mercari and the rest of them.

My apologies, I did not know you were looking to support whomever you need to find "fault" with.  I thought you were looking for a resolution to your current issues.  If the blame game is more important to you, that is your decision to make.  My bad, I thought you were looking to get the issue fixed.

Managed payments hell

Dang....I got lucky on my first week anyway. I signed up with managed payments last week and got my first payment this week. Everything went smooth like clockwork. I'm not bragging....oh trust me...I'm not. I know next week, I could be here crying because all of my money is tied up in ebay limbo land like you all are.

Just letting you know ONE person had luck with it this week.

I feel your pain....

Good luck.

Mike

Thanks for the suggestions! But yes - all is matching, and no PO Box.

Interestingly, I was told two different things about names matching. First, I read that they should match exactly, so I added my middle initials to the first name field. Then a second rep told me that if you add anything to the first name field, the system reads it all as one first name, and to change it back. But then another one told me to try putting them in the last name field, so that's how it is now. Still no approval, though.

Edit: I just went in and looked at my registration name again, and I see now there is a middle name field. That's new!

Well I was hoping it was something overlooked, sorry that wasn't it as it would have made things so much easier on you.  I wouldn't mess with using your middle initial in some areas on your Ebay set up and not in others.  Just be consistent and match how your checking account is set up.

Another thing to check is to make sure your birthday is accurate.

The field was recently added because there was confusion over where to put it if someone wanted it there.  So the field makes it easier.

Still waiting to contact ebay. I keep getting this message when I click on the link to receive a call from them:

Sorry, this contact channel will be closed before an agent is available to speak with you today. Please try again tomorrow.

this has been the experience for many days. I guess I will try to request a call first thing in the morning and see if it will happen. It's been a couple of weeks that they have been holding onto my money now. This is completely unacceptable and possibly illegal? How can they just pocket our money and have absolutely no way to get it out and no way to contact them. I'm going to speak to my lawyer friend and see if we can get some sort of class action going. This isn't okay. For example what if I was undergoing some medical treatment and I sold something to pay for it. And since there's way for me to get my money which belongs to me, I can't. Surely there have to be some protections under law. I'm beyond mad.
