Is eBay dropping Paypal?

I have a message from eBay stating that they are changing their business model on February 14.  They are not using Paypal, rather, they are hooking up with your bank account.  Any thoughts?

My thoughts are it's time to start selling somewhere else.... Decades of selling on Ebay; but NO way are they (and any hacker) is going to get my bank account.... that is why I USE paypal in the first place..... I wonder how much money Ebay will lose from this..... too bad!

I think their new “system” is a way of getting all of your personal information and total access to your bank accounts.  NOT HAPPY! I’ve been selling on eBay since 1998, NO MORE. WILL GO ELSEWHERE TO SELL, along with several other people!

PayPal and eBay ending the symbiosis after all these years. I don't know if this is good or bad. Reverb, a marketplace for used music equipment, also dropped PayPal in preference for their own payment system.

All I must say is this: if eBay and/or Reverb get hacked and my financial information gets leaks and/or my checking account drained, I am going to be VERY **bleep**. At least PayPal was a moderator between eBay and my bank account.

I've always used a separate bank account that I have associated with both ebay and paypal, one that I never keep more than a couple hundred in at the most, my own go-between account that I use for all my online transactions. If that account gets hacked, I wouldn't lose much. I don't sell that much; it's not a business for me. May try their system when forced to, but etsy is my main store now anyway.

Another Brain Dead move by Ebay..I have until the end of the month to obey. I will gone and never coming back..I will not give my Bank/SS info to them..NO WAY IN HELL..
