Just FYI.

Well yes and no.  For example, I have my Ebay account set up as a Business account.  The name on my account is mine as I operate as a Sole Proprietorship.  My bank account is a personal account with the exact same name on it as my Ebay account.  They do accept this as being OK in MP.

Anytime.  Some things with MP can be difficult to say the least.  What you previously stated was stuff they initially said, but then they found out that it was inaccurate.  So you were just going with older info and things as we know change way too often.

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

Business, but a different name from both my, personal and business savings accounts...my business savings was from a brick and mortar I had, but closed in 2016...I paid the bills from that store via credit card...just easier bookkeeping for me...

So,  now, I have an additional problem. Every account has a different name...oh, bother...

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

I am trying to setup a personal checking account or at least in my personal name to match.

Good idea.  Make sure you name perfectly matches how you have your Ebay account set up.  No differences at all, not even a middle initial.

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

My wife and I both have our own E-Bay and Paypal accounts, and a joint checking account. So are we saying that to use E-Bay moving forward that we need a two checking accounts with different names on them ? I hope not, because at that point it just won't be worth it for us to use E-Bay to sell things, too much hassle. Especially if they are taking days to pay me and I have to use Paypal to pay for shipping anyway. For a long time E-Bay was the only game in town, but today there are a lot of options.

And easy resolve to that would be to put your wife's name on your Ebay account along with yours and have her put yours on her account.  Then you can use that joint account for everything.  Just make sure the names are EXACTLY the same on Ebay as they appear on the checking account.  So if you use middle initials on your bank account, you need to do that on Ebay too.  They must perfectly match.

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

I have already changed my MP to my checking account. I had 2 auctions end last week. One payment went to my checking account and the other went back into my paypal account. Why is that? I thought that once you change your MP paypal will no longer be accepting payment. Any help would be appreciated on this.

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

Since I started MP they take their fees and send the rest to my Bank account.

My monthly seller invoice doesn't show the two charges that are charged by Ebay on my credit card statement. One for .30 and second for 25.93. There is no reason for ebay to do that. I use my credit card to purchase items from ebay and I have zero purchases of stated amounts.

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

It depends on when you started the auction. I’m guessing one was started while in PayPal and the other one started after you switched to MP.

Driven by when the bidders bid.  Before or after you go active in MP.

I'm not sure I understand you problem.  You have mixed two different subjects.  One being the fees that MP takes at the time the buyer pays the seller and then the other one seems to be when you make purchases and how it appears on your CC.

More details on each subject please.

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

Why is there a deadline of Feb 1 2021 to set this up.  They say after that it will no longer be an option.  What if a new sellers wants to sign up after that date?
