Thanks. Funny, but that option wasn't there before. Well, that's one good thing, now if only I wasn't so worried the rest of the money will never make it to my bank account. 😕

I have been in MP for nearly 16 months. I have yet to have a buyer payment fail once confirmed by eBay.  I started with "daily payouts"  to get funds that were "available" (had processed).

I have since switched to "weekly"(done on Tuesdays), and have never had a payout fail to get to my checking account. I was already on weekly when the Dec 2 glitch cause the need for payouts for some to be sent a second time.

My buyer payments have been processing in 1-2 days. My payouts are in my CU checking account the day after payout.

On top of this they are running skims if you dont know your math made me do managed payments 3 out of 4 transaction I was charge more than 14.35% +.30 they get over every chance you give them. The company is run by thieves while they pointed finger at fedex to steal millions from sellers we need to file a class action!

My transactions have been spot on at 12.35% +$0.30

Only fee problem that I had was when an IT coding error decided that PR was international, and the slightly higher fee was charged.  The overcharging was later corrected, with a credit that went to my invoice.  Essentially not refunded, just credited because it made my invoice a negative amount.  I incur no fees that would be invoiced.

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

I thought I was updating my payment options and somehow now have ebay as my managed payment provider, which I DO NOT want. I tried to change back to Paypal and it won't let me. I have not put in my bank information and they are now holding my funds. I want to remove this option---how can I do this? Do I have to call. I just want to use my paypal account.

Help appreciated....

It is not possible.

I am having the same problems eBay charges a percentage of every thing. Shipping taxes item. And mess up your Bank Account.

This is horrible.  I was forced to switch to managed payments this morning and absolutely hate it. With paypal, funds are available in the paypal account immediately.  Now ebay gets their cut first before I do? Screw that.  Come on eBay - switch this back.

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

I am now a few months into this "improvement" and feel exactly this way. Why does it take anytime at all? Why would a modern electronic transfer work on before noon business days only? This is not an improvement for sellers, it is, in fact a burden to small sellers who don't sit on a store of funds.  I miss the sleek, smooth, immediate funds AND human help of Paypal.

This isn't 1980 - available funds should be available to the seller not held friday, saturday, sunday, only to have them "processing" for 2 days before reaching my bank account on Wednesday that IS what's happening.

How is this an improvement?

Those that keep repeating the mantra -- it isn't working.  That you see "PP fronted money and that MP doesn't" as sufficient explanation speaks volumes. I don't care what goes on behind the curtain. eBay is grabbing the money I paid a payment facilitator and required I pay it to them for these "services" that barely qualify as, a payment processor.

Totally agree with you. I'm hating it already.

Looking at other seller sites for better faster payments.

Waiting almost a week to get paid is for the dinosaurs.

Ebay officially sucks now.

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

To exactly whom is it convenient to have to wait to get paid????? For 8 years whenever I heard the sound of the cash register from my PayPal, I knew I had money in my bank/PayPal account, now it takes days to get paid by eBay and I have to constantly check to be sure I got paid for something I sold. Funny how we are expected to ship the item without receiving payment. I'm seriously considering quitting this racket.

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

When you pull up the shipping page ("ship now"), put in the weight and measurements and shipper choice (if not already pre-filled correctly), then scroll to the bottom of the create a label page and you will see "Select How to Pay" and two choices - 1) your pending payouts or 2) your saved PayPal Account. Check the first box. :+)

Methinks eBay better change their **bleep** system or prepare to go under. Bezos (Amazon) is taking over, step aside eBay...

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

It's laughable how this was sold and continues to be spun to the sellers. On what planet is waiting 6-7 days to get paid better?  How is having to fork out money to cover shipping on every sale while waiting nearly a week to get paid better, spoiler alert, it's not, no matter how you try to spin it! "Well you can change your handling time and wait to ship" Well that's just great. I'll just let orders pile up, increasing the potential for errors and deal with messages from buyers asking why their item hasn't shipped... because fielding question is such a stellar use of my time. Nice for eBay to decide that for me too.

There is no version of this that is better than the old system for sellers. "But you're saving on fees" Let me tell you something, anyone with half a brain knows that the sliver of a precent we're saving isn't worth the time we have to wait for a payout!

It's really too bad the people who've been stuck in this dreadful mess since the 2018 beta either lacked the spine or intelligence to raise a stink about it so now we're all screwed. It would be nice for eBay to put sellers first just once, instead of always doing what's in their own selfish shortsighted best interests and pretending that it's for the customers/buyers benefit. But hey, this is what happens when you have a company run by people who've never sold anything in their lives other than a load of **bleep**!

I will say this, the only part of this train wreck that is better, is seeing how much we get nickel and dimed to death all at once, that was eye opening. Thank god eBay is just a side hustle for me, one that I've spent less time fooling with over the years. I pity every seller whose stuck doing this full time now.

PP fronted the money.

Many of us were spoiled by that action becoming part of the "I want it NOW" crowd.

Accept it, or not, real world is not always instant.

I used my CC yesterday at 4 different locations.  Grocery stores, gas station, $ store.  All still show pending.

And I paid my CC bill yesterday, but the money is still in the account that I fund that from

Re: Infographic: How payouts work on managed payments

If Ebay owes the seller, it will take up to 3 days. If the seller owes Ebay, it take one day for the money to be taken out of your bank account. Nice set-up Ebay.
