Ebay has decided to re-define the term "processing" in regard to their payments system. Now, as far as Ebay is concerned, "processing" means that you should ship your item even though the payment isn't complete. To find out the actual status of your payments, you have to click through three different screens to discover whether the payment is "complete" or "processing".
Their own FAQ on these screens tells you that "processing" means that the payment is complete and you should ship your item.
None of the Ebay customer service representatives have any idea what this means, either. There is no mention of this redefinition in the user agreement and multiple requests to Ebay to present a clearer definition have fallen on deaf ears.
I've been selling on Ebay since 1997. Ever since that time, "processing" has meant that the payment hasn't cleared and that you shouldn't ship it. Now, suddenly, under their new managed payments methodology, "processing" means "ship with confidence". We all know whose side Ebay will come down if a payment doesn't go through.

So, it takes ebay 2 DAYS to do what Paypal did in 2 SECONDS? Instead of seeing funds right after a buyer pays, now I get to wait days???!!!!
When did we go back to 1935? Do dinosaurs now deliver funds? How is this an improvement?

I do not have a store.
Will I still have a monthly statement for accrued listing fees that (currently) is paid once a month through my paypal? Or do those fees come out from my account as they occur?
Your store will still be billed on your Seller Invoice and due monthly.
The ONLY thing taken from your MP account is the FVF on the sale being processed through MP. Any other fees you might have will be on your Seller Invoice.
You can go to your Seller Invoice and change the automatic payment method on it any time you want. And unless you are keeping money in your PP account so it can cover the Seller Invoice payment, I strongly suggest you change it before you have a payment come due.

This is not correct. What Ebay expects is for you to ship within your stated handling time on the purchase. There is nothing new there. If you are now in MP and you would prefer to ship after the money actually gets deposited into your bank account, you can do that. Lots of sellers do that. There isn't anything wrong with it. But make sure you change your handling time in your listings to reflect that or you will quickly damage your selling account with all the late shipment defects. It is your choice. Whether you ship before or after the money is in your bank account is up to you. Either way is just fine.
You don't have to click on 3 different screens for finding if payments have processed and are now ready to transfer. You can do that from your Summary page under the Payments Tab in the Seller Hub. If you need to see the details, then click on All transactions on the left and you can scroll up and down in the transactions to see details. Or on the summary page you can click on the See All in the recent transaction box on the Summary page.
You are correct, Processing [or pending] = it hasn't cleared yet. Completed [or Available] means it is available for transfer.
Just one clarification "processing or pending" does NOT mean you don't ship. It only means the payments haven't cleared the funding source. MP takes responsibility for these just as PP did. These payments aren't going to bounce so to speak. It only means that the funding source hasn't moved the money into MP yet. They are authorized payments, the actual money just isn't there yet.
It was the same for PP. The difference for them is the PP fronted us the money and gave us immediate access. MP doesn't do that. MP is no where near what PP is or have the flexibility of PP. I to love PP and would just prefer to stick with them. But that is not a choice we have. So we must learn how to best use the program we have and also encourage MP along the way for more enhancements that are very much needed.
It takes a bit of getting use to. For me, I do weekly deposits. The transfers are made every Tuesday morning and arrive at my bank before noon the next day.
Doing Daily Deposits in MP seems more problematic for sellers since processing and transfers only happen on Business days.

eBay MP does not "front" the buyer payment the way PP did.
On Saturday I made a fuel purchase at the gas station using my CC. Late on Tuesday that Sale was still "pending". That would indicate that the gas station was not paid instantly. The clerk should have called the police, or chased me down the street demanding payment.
Was at Wally, and purchased some pumpkin spice muffins, one of which I ate on the way while driving home. 2-3 days later the CC charge was still pending. No one stopped me from exiting the store with my ill gotten gain. (they had not been paid instantly, so I must have stolen the merchandise)

Hello @legendastique ,
Now that eBay now manages the end-to-end selling experience for our marketplace this means you no longer need a third-party payments processor, and there is no more payments processing fee. For most sellers, this means savings for their business.*
It’s that simple. Sellers have already saved millions of dollars with eBay managing their payments. More information on managed payments fees can be found here.
*Savings are based on annual total sales volumes, and comparisons of (a) prior eBay final value fees plus typical 3rd party payment provider fees, with (b) new eBay final value fees (without any 3rd party processing fees).

Hello @kilgorecustoms-collectibles,
We just added an additional method for eBay managed payments Sellers to verify their bank accounts, with microdeposits. More information can be found here. That might enable you to complete verification sooner.

This is ridiculous and an attempt to fleece people you think are stupid. You eliminated PayPal which many of us prefer and now we get to pay you the fees instead of them. And you'll take 2 days to do what PayPal did in 2 seconds (to quote another user). Don't dress a fat pig in lipstick and try and tell us it's a good deal.

Unbelievable. The answer is always $$$ Greed $$$

This.
Ebay is like, "let's get rid of PayPal and take that 2.9% fee they charged. And we'll keep 2.7% of it for ourselves and tell everyone we're saving them money. And we'll create a system that takes longer is more confusing and is more inconvienent. We'll take 48 hours to get them their money but dumb people won't realize it and hopefully at least 1/2 of the people on here are dumb". Yeah. No Thanks.
