I agree with you.... plus... paypal may have had your bank info but unlike ebay we have to agree to allow them to remove money from our bank account as they see fit

wish I could delete this thread.... I'm done, I'm assimilated....
MP has been fairly ok... returns suck bum though the way they put a hold on your money... that hold can be there for almost a month's time...

In an attempt to make interest off of your sales. If enough people sell enough stuff and eBay holds the money for several days they will make interest. Some may say small interest, however ask yourself how much stuff is sold on eBay and in how many countries...

Change is difficult, however eBay has been going down hill for several years. Fees have gone up, and the lack of ability to leave negative feedback for deadbeat buyers/sellers. Time for a change there are ways to sell your wares elsewhere.....

To those of you being rude and saying, in so many words, "suck it up" and accept change, keep in mind not everyone likes the idea of giving Ebay their bank routing numbers.
PayPal is a payment method, so it only makes sense they should have our banking info. And they (hopefully) have security in place to protect account holders... hopefully...
EBAY is NOT a bank or payment method.
I am a casual seller and have been since 1999... I like payments to go to PayPal because I can simply take a peek at my balance and know that is my "fun money". I don't make much at all (not even worth it now thanks to fees and postage hikes), and as it is am not happy that the Tax Man seems to think I am a business JUST because I sometimes sell something I have owned for decades...
... But I digress...
OH, and how come I have to use Managed Payments but my boyfriend has NOT RECEIVED ANY WARNINGS about switching HIS selling account????

I want to opt out too!!! I now have to wait to ship an item, because payment is processing. I have to wait for my money to be transferred to my bank, then wait 4 days to have my money transferred to PayPal so I can pay for my shipping fees. This is ridiculous and very frustrating!! Simple they said??? I don't think so.

You can ship using your pending payment for shipping. At the bottom left of the shipping label. No need to wait.

I HATE THIS NEW STUPID SYSTEM! It is only good for eBay for them to make more money. See they say that you will be paying less or the same fees as before and make it look good by getting rid of some fees. What they don’t tell you is that they combined all the fees into one, thus making it LOOK like you have less fees when in actuality they are charging more with one fee than all the others fees combined! As a seller this made everything worse. My business used to be streamlined. Someone buys something, you get the money, and you ship out the item. Now someone buys something, then has to wait on feeBay to hold your money, then has to wait for it to clear your bank. So an item that used to take a day to ship, now will take five days! I mean who is gunna ship something out when they haven’t been paid for it? Very dumb decision by eBay and even more sneaky that they dictated the change instead of giving us options. Anyone have suggestions of another selling platform to use, because eBay is going down hard!!!

**bleep**, with paypal my funds were available instantly, and yes it is as bad as I think, I made a sale on a friday, shipped the item monday and the funds did not hit my bank account until Wednesday, that is **bleep**!!!
When it comes to cash flow it is doom, 1 day as oppossed to 5? justify that!!

Whats the best "other" place to sell? I tired of eBay running a monopoly and slowing increasing fees.

Their greed will end up costing them millions. They have no need to have my SSN. I do not trust ebay storing that information against breaches and anything else. Who are they to say we can't dispute one of their decisions on a buyer protection claim? Years ago I had a buyer break mounting tabs on an item when they tried to install it. They filed a claim after they broke it and I got settled in their favor until I called and **bleep**ed. If I stop listing and selling, I'm probably not buying here anymore as well.

That has nothing to do with accepting bank cards. You were told exactly why you got the 1099k in the thread you started. It's the law in your state, nothing to do with eBay.
