Error message, "Please check your payment details or use a different payment option."

I permanently have got the message, "Please check your payment details or use a different payment option."
I had tried to use several of my credit card and PayPal. The Number, CVV, Date are OK. These cards fully work everywhere except e-Bay. I sure of this because half hours ago successfully paid on B&H.
Also, my bank told me they even didn't see a transaction was being attempted from e-Bay or Pay-Pal and any other transaction while I had been making payment on e-Bay.

May someone can help or know how to resolve this issue? FAQ doesn't have an answer. Call by phone isn't a good idea because I live in 12 hours a different timezone.

Same problem here.   Different browsers, cleared cache, etc.  Bizarrely, it worked on a partial order before the others started flagging the error.  Talked to a customer rep, they too, said they couldn't do anything about it, that the Managed Payments Dept would be in communication via email within 24-48 hrs.

Odd, the following day, it worked fine.  No changes to anything, no communication from eBay, nothing.

I've got the same problem, I'm from Peru. This is my second time buying and this happens!!!
What am I gonna tell the seller? He knows about my problem, but there´s very little to none that he can do to help me. Ebay should be aware of this, I'm extremely disappointed.

Same problem, I don't think this is a seller issue because this is happening with a lot of sellers right now for me. Unless I just have bad luck. Since eBay removed PayPal as a payment option the problem has only got worse at least on my end.

Same problem, can't figure out where the issue comes from. I'm trying to pay with my credit card, without validating it in PayPal.

I just won an auction on an item, I was about to pay the product right away like I usually do. And just like all of you guys, I can't get the payment go through.

I tried with and without Paypal, I tried to pay with 2 different credit cards, I tried 3 different web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Slimjet), I tried to pay with their Ebay app on my Android same issue.

At this point, I don't think it's my fault that I cannot complete the transaction and I don't think it's my seller's fault either. I do believe maybe Ebay did some change in their payment system near the end on 2020 and this problem still happening.

I'm now struggling to find an actual contact phone number for support to get my problem solve, there's no live chat either. The only thing I could find was automated responses with selectable options, then I've read apparently Ebay's customer support can only interfere in the transaction after 3 days after purchase...

What a shame... #MakeEbayGreatAgain !!!!

You can try going to the bottom of this page and requesting a call back. They usually get back pretty quick and can tell you if the problem is on your end. If it's not on your end, don't let them stick you with an Unpaid Item strike, fight it.

When I try to use the gift card, in the checkout the code is accepted, but when I press the button to pay show this message  "Please check your payment details or use a different payment option"

Hope it helps. Had the same problem.... credit card, google pay, pay pal. nothing works. then I go to ebay account settings, payments and add payment option (credit card or dbt.) Then i try to pay and it finally works.

HERE is the FIX.

Solution: You must contact eBay payment team to resolve this issue. They have flagged your account for suspcicious activity so any payment will not go through. You need to contact eBay so they can help you resolve the issue.
