Ebay Managed Payments - The TRUTH Buyers Leaving Ebay in masses to AMAZON

Well here is the truth, my last 2 Ebay purchases took over 2-3 weeks to receive, delays to the point I no longer needed the items.

Ebay is so mismanaged this is getting out of hand and so unbelievably counter productive. Ebay is becoming useless.

Amazon - good price - next day delivery.

Ebay - good price - 2 -3 weeks delivery.

2 weeks shipping due to the seller not shipping the item prior to getting my payment untangled as it is going thru MP.

There would be further exodus of dissatisfied buyers from Ebay who did not receive their packages on time for Holidays.

Nothing hurts buyers more than ruined Christmas! All that while Amazon delivers most of my items next day!

Some sellers post here they like mismanaged payments, they are either paid by Ebay to say nonsense or they are kind of people who drive cars with no wheels on them and they also like driving that way.

is Ebay on Amazon’s payroll? I do not like monopolies and liked Ebay as an alternative option but as useless and counter productive as Ebay is these days I’m giving up!

Horatio Alger anecdotes are are well and good, and you seem like a reasonable sort, so let's reason together.

No real seller protection for chargebacks aside, this board is replete with eBay-FedEx overcharging.

Now that recourse to the payments processor over a dispute is taken away - Adyen is firewallled -, and the only avenue left is to decry the charge with a bank you've been forced to make eBay a co-signer on, how on God's green Earth do you dispute the charge?

Or do you nod the fraud, align with the MP cabal, and pass it off to the buyer as the cost of doing business?

Is that pulling yourself up by your bootstraps or a race to the bottom?

I'll grant it's authentic.

But does taking a stand make one stupid, naive, or a poor business person?

You make the call.

That's on the seller, not Ebay.

There's no reason for the seller to put off shipping that long after the order has been paid for.

The last item I bought from the river, it was a week before it even shipped.

Have a great day.

Q: No real seller protection for chargebacks aside ... Now that recourse to the payments processor over a dispute is taken away ... how on God's green Earth do you dispute the charge?

I have gotten 3 or 4 chargeback disputes per year for the following reasons.
a) Didn't recognize the transaction on their statement.
b) Unauthorized use of a credit card.
All of these cases were ruled in my favor through MP, just as Paypal always did.

I have never gotten chargeback disputes for the following reasons.
c) INR Item Not Received.
d) Not as described.

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/handling-payment-disputes-managed-payments-seller?id=...
If the transaction is eligible for protection, we’ll cover the amount of the dispute, and waive the fee in the following situations:
When a buyer reports that they don’t recognize the transaction:
You provided tracking information including the following:
A delivery status of “delivered”
Date of delivery
Shipping address matching the address on the order
Signature confirmation if the item costs $750 or more

Q: eBay-FedEx overcharging.
That has occurred to Paypal users too and is not exclusively a MP issue. The discussions on the Shipping & Returns board have suggested solutions.

Q: Or do you nod the fraud, align with the MP cabal, and pass it off to the buyer as the cost of doing business?
Perhaps I have been lucky. This perceived fraud has not happened to me through Paypal or MP.

Q: But does taking a stand make one stupid, naive, or a poor business person?
Each of us must do a risk/reward assessment and do what is best for their full or part time business.

The angels, however, side with, "banks are not garbage collectors". Paypal is different in the sense they "were" the payments processor.

But yes, nor is it worth the aggravation.
