EBay lied!

Payment was held as I'm a fairly new seller.  OK, fine.  I understand that.

I shipped my item with tracking.  It shows it's still sitting at the buyers Post Office and has not been picked up.  

I called customer service on 3 different days.  Was told funds would be release within 24 hrs. each time.  Nope. 

Last person I spoke with said they wouldn't release funds untill the buyer picked up and left feedback.  I've emailed the buyer with no response.

It's really unfair for the sellers and really not OK to lie about when payments are received!

EBay lied!

That's horrible.

 

     Why should you be out money if you shipped, but the buyer neglected the item?

 

     That's like me throwing away something I just bought in the Walmart parking lot, and expecting Walmart not to charge me.

 

      What is really getting to me about all this and the posts I am reading with new problems each day is, eBay thinks it's NOTHING to get items, photograph them, write a description, fill out all the drop down boxes, pack an item, print labels, and drive it to the Post Office. They must think all that happens magically with no effort, and if we want to BE PAID, we are unreasonable.  It's bizarre.

I know you shouldn't have to but if you can't get hold of the buyer this may be the best way to get it moving.

I am not sure how long the PO hold it before they return to sender.

So now it's our job to list the item, ship the item AND find the buyer before we get paid by eBay?

I've got few hundred £'s on hold since no feedback and no tracking given (they were postage stamp items) no tracking.    I have now been told I have to chase the buyer for feedback or confirm out of thin air. 

 

Its now been 7 weeks.... and money not being released by ebay.  I have spoken multiple times to ebay and they keep saying 24 hours..  ffss!!!!  ebay ayden managed payment is really pissing me off.  so backward the system.

I would definitely contact the customer (link is in the order details to do so) and send them a message to notify them that their package has been at their post office for awhile and to pick it up as soon as they can.  Remind them the post office will return it to sender if they wait too long.  Then keep checking the tracking to be sure they do so.  I have had good luck doing this on a number of occasions.  (Been selling here almost 23 years.)  Sometimes you just have reach out a few times before you get a response.  Shouldn't be necessary of course, but it happens.

 

 I don't know why your funds would be held because the package hasn't been "delivered" or until after feedback is left.  That doesn't make sense to me.  In managed payments, once a payment is processed, which normally takes only 1 business day, those funds should show as available in your account for the next scheduled payment regardless of delivery or feedback.    Perhaps there is an unrelated issue why the funds are not available within 1 business day after the buyer paid.
