I list all my items as shipping only to the US, but people from eastern Europe buy items from me and have them shipped to forwarding addresses. Risk of scams aside, I keep getting stuck with extra $30-$50 fees. I sell in the electronics category where the margins are already very anemic and this just makes it works.
how do I stop this?
thanks

You did answer the question which I thanked you for.
Have a nice day 🙂
Yes you most certainly did. Then you asked the question in different words in a couple [or more] other posts and I simply do not see the point.

At this point I am out of patience. You continue to engage and throw the needless barbed comments out there like verbal javelins and I simply do not care to have any further interaction with you and I respectfully ask you to cease and desist in any and all comments, messages, and communications of any kind with me.
Hopefully this is clear enough for you.

Could you please educate us on why this is happening since you know. We just sold a pen to a guy in Saudi Arabia, but with US address and got charged the extra fee. We dont understand why this happened. Did this person in SA need a pen so badly?

freight forwarders are cheap and by buying from US sellers, international buyers get to evade their own country's sales and import taxes. they save money. ebay charges even more fees to make even more money. we get screwed. there is no way to opt out of sales to international customers because ebay sees this an another revenue source
i can't comment on your items, but this problem doesn't really affect people selling $10 items, because no international buyer is buying iphone charges and cheap Chinese dresses from the US. but it hurts sellers selling high value items, like electronics. as if the risk of selling them is not high enough, ebay decided to make the environment even more hostile to do so
the only solution is to leave the platform completely. which i did. thanks to their stupid nickel and diming, ebay lost more than 250k of my sales to amz this year... so far.
that's how much in fees ebay took from me in the first 3/4 of 2021, before i left for greener pastures. if they weren't a-holes, they could have collected 15-20k more money in fees from me to date. i asked for literally one thing, to block international buyers. but nope. they won't do it.

The title of this thread is misleading, not to mention a very OLD thread.
If a seller creates and posts their listings on the US Ebay website, the ONLY currency ANY buyer can pay with is the good old US Dollar. This has been true for many years. Long before Ebay became our money processor.
When we sell to an international buyer [their account is registered in a different country] but they have a ship to address in the USA, we pay a 1.65% FVF on top of the other fees for this international sale.
Don't confuse this with a currency conversion fee, because that is a different fee all together and it is over 4%. This fee has NOTHING to do with a currency conversion.
While some are forgetting about it, we paid the SAME fee to PayPal when they were are money processor. Now that Ebay is our money processor we now pay it to Ebay. We have all paid this fee for many years.

Well you are very fortunate to have so many sales to have to pay such a fee. Most of us posting here are not in your bracket.
