I'm shocked too, I guess eBay can care less about some of our business.  I used it a few times here, I guess I'll use it on another site after August.  They are starting to be like Costco.

A lot of places don't because of their fees.    Not that their black card offers any perks here anyway.

I wonder if an Amex card could still be used by selecting PayPal at eBay's checkout and using the Amex card through the PayPal account. Presumably in that case PayPal, and not eBay, would be paying the Amex fee. Unless PayPal also stops accepting Amex as well.

And unless PayPal is somehow passing along its fees to eBay, I do not think eBay can dictate which forms of payment PayPal can accept.

That might be worth trying after August 17th to see if it works.

Yes to this. You can still use Amex for your points/rewards through PayPal. (At least for now) I am referencing AMEX points/reward programs, not Ebay Bucks. FYI
