ebay mobile app (android) long delay with sell notifications

I'm using a samsung galaxy s8 phone with ebay app version 6.8.0.12. 

sell notifications take way too long to come through on my ebay phone app. other notifications seem to come through ok.

with ebay email I get an instant notification if I sell an item, but the other day the phone notification didn't come though until three hours after the email. Is there a solution to this? is there something wrong with ebay's machinery? I read another post about clearing the cache but the instruction there don't work on my phone. thanks for any advice.

Thanks for posting. Can you please go through all the troubleshooting steps here and let us know if it helps. You may have some battery saver settings turned on that could delay notifications.
