What's new with Android 5.27.0

We have released the new version 5.27.0. You should see it showing up for upgrade over the next 24 hours. Here are some issues reported via the forums that should be working better this release.

• Checkout would sometimes get stuck at loading
• Some quantities could reset when attempting to purchase
• Sellers active items with bids should be green
• App could crash in messages
• App could crash when setting price filter for motors items 

Other enhancements:

• Simplified account recovery
• Accessibility improvements
• Sign in with your Google account
• Sign in with your Facebook account
• Image search improvements
• New way of filtering when browsing

Thanks for the report. We are looking into why only 4 pages of listings are showing for you. Can you let us know if there is any error or anything that shows up in the app when you try to tap End?

Update sucks - photo manager still nightmare, viewing on mobile is of course extremely difficult. This is just from the few minutes i used it.

I feel like i am dealing with a new tech start up rather than a multi - billion dollar company.  

I already started to look at new avenues ..

Can you let us know what you are viewing on mobile that is extremely difficult? Photo manager nightmare, is this when you are buying items or listing items?

what do you guys need to know?  The last stickied thread people detailed the issues, and until this day those were not fixed.  How many times do we need to tell you guys to work on ths functionality of the app instead of these useless "enchancements".

AMEN! The new app just SUCKS. Period. It should never have been monkeyed with. As a seller, this garbage dump of an app is single-handedly ruining my ability to sell. Layout blows, functionality blows, can't set fixed price listing durations for 'good til cancelled', pic view and uploading blows... Looks like it's adios ebae for me. Maybe if enough sellers like myself pull their $300/month "donations" from eBay's greedy coffers they'll start to pay attention. Until then, screw me? Screw THEM!

Same problems. Photos load withoutpictures. How are we supposed to sell when this required process does not work! Very frustrating!!When is this going to be fixed?

Yes, I would like two things. First, to be able to contact a seller. Isn't this a basic requirement for eBay??

Second, to see where the item location is. Why do they remove all the basic functions of the website??

Hi Ebay,

I've been trying to use the barcode scanner on your app and just lately I've noticed it's changed, There's now a camera icon in the search bar. When I try to scan a barcode I get an Alert with info about what the query must contain and Error-type 243012.

The barcode scanner has been a really useful tool for me to get a quick value on books I am selling on ebay. So now the app is unusable for me.

Please can you fix this?

Thanks for posting. Do you have more details of the problems the app is having? Are you taking photos with the app or do you take the photos before you open the app?

You have a spelling mistake on the selling page. In the first paragraph, it says items with a l at the end.

Another comment. Sometimes we need to send a message to the seller when buying an item for example a phone unlock code. But I cannot see this option in the app.

Additionally why can't we just send feedback from the app itself. There should be an option to send feedback from within the actual app.

Hi,

First of all, when I go on the app store to leave a review it tells me to install the app when I already have it installed so it doesn't let me leave a review.

Secondly, when I update one of my listing and go back to all my listings it takes me back to the top. With the previous version of ebay it didn't take you back to the top of the page with all your listings and the page stayed at the listing you clicked on to edit. I have over 200 different listing and have to scroll all the way down to find then edit a listing which was right below the previous one i was editing. Please change it back to the way it was before where it does not scroll back to the top of all listing after editing a specific one.
