Since I updated the ebay app on my iPad, two days ago, I received the message that I had exceeded the daily limit so access to this individual function will be denied for the rest of the day (Request.ebay.429). I tried to delete the app and re-download it, but now it won't even let me sign in to my account. Obviously it's an app issue, since ebay on my phone works fine, which I haven't updated. Any suggestions how I can fix this? Thanks.

Im getting the same prompt eveytime I go on eBay on my iPad , any results on what to do ?

No solution was forthcoming. Luckily, if you give it about a week, the problem should solve itself.

Hi my iPad is on talk talk WiFi. I still cannot use my app. Still getting this stupid exceeded limit message. What can be done?? When will it be fixed?? I need to sort out things I’m selling and buying!

I have tried deleting the app and re installing but the problem is now even worse and i cant do anything at all, I have listings finishing soon so this is a real problem.
im using ipad ios 10.2
i can get on ebay ok using browser on ipad .

Thanks for the reports. Can you try switching between wifi and cellular to see if that allows you to sign in? Can you please let us know your cellular and wireless providers too so we can look into this limiting.

I’ve been getting this message for over a month now. I get it on my iPad only. I don’t get the message when I use the eBay app on my phone. I tried to delete the app and install it again but the message came up again and made my sign in time out. I buy thousands of dollars worth of supplies for my welding company on eBay. Since I went to the iPad for business purposes, it makes it a pain in the ass to not be able to use the eBay app for purchases on my iPad.

My iPad has now the Same issue! The App is Not usable! Whats happens? Any Updates? I have No celullar, Just WiFi. My Provider is Vodafone Germany
