Photos in messages don't open

Member sent a photo within a message. I tap on it the photo and am redirected to the ebay.com home page, but it is opening within the ebay app, apparently. 

Tapping on the profile icon just reopens the app home screen.

This is a dead end loop.

Using latest version of Android app.

Are you using latest version of eBay in android? If not please update.

Or may be you have a internet connection issue..

Are you able to open that message and view the photo using a desktop browser? Or a mobile browser in desktop mode?

If eBay browser links are opening in the eBay app, you can disable that if you do not want that behavior. Go to your device's settings manager. Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Open supported links: "Don't open in this app".

Yes, can view the photo on desktop.

No, cannot view in a mobile browser because it automatically redirects to open everything inside the app.

The Open Supported Links options are: In this app, Always ask, In other app.

"In this app" was selected. Tried the two other options and it made no difference.

Problem persists.
