Allowing robo-bidding or sniping down to one second before closing?

 

laughable

It is called snipping and is part of the auction experience. Snipping is allowed by eBay.

All you can do is set your bid to the highest amount that you are willing to pay for the item. If you loose it is because the winner/snipper was willing to pay a higher amount then you. It is what it is.

Bidders are allowed to bid from the first second of the auction to the last second. The highest bid wins, not the last bid.
