Not receiving notifications via eBay app on iPhone

Hello,

I’ve been using the eBay app without issue for years, but appears a few months ago when major updates were done to the eBay mobile app, I stopped receiving notifications. I rely heavily on push notifications for immediate response/action on my end due to the amount of emails I have or manually checking the app for notifications. To troubleshoot I’ve turned off my iPhone, checked to verify app updates are up to date, deleted app and reinstalled, and checked settings multiple times which have not changed. I’ve even changed my email settings so that I don’t receive updates and all updates are through phone’s push notifications. I’ve also tried with WiFi and with just cellular (which settings on iPhone work with just cellular and no app issues when using) but push notifications not received when connected via WiFi or cellular data. I did notice after I purchase a label via eBay app on iOS, I do receive a push notification letting me know my label is ready to print. If I have copy of this before resolution will add a screenshot for reference. 

Even with my email settings off, I’m only receiving updates via email or upon manually checking the app, I can see unread messages and notifications but there is a delay on receiving the notifications manually on the app vs email. I’ve also attached screenshots. As you can see I’m receiving notifications from numerous apps, all but eBay’s app and only one I’m having issues with.

Hoping I’m the only one but if you’re experiencing similar issues please comment so I know it’s not just me or if you had similar items and troubleshooted in a way I didn’t mention that fixed the issue for you please let me know. Any assistance or advice is greatly appreciated, I just want it fixed.

The Android version of the eBay app has a Diagnose Notifications tool at the bottom of the Notification Settings -- I believe the iOS version has something similar.

Using that tool should indicate which if any settings are preventing notifications from getting through, and also provide an audible indication that notifications are working.

Battery saver settings are one often-overlooked way to block notifications.

Thank you! I double-checked and I didn’t see a diagnose notifications tool at least not on iOS. I attached screenshots of both of iPhone settings for eBay app and notification settings/communication preferences in eBay app, maybe I missed it? Let me know if you see it in screenshots provided.

Try going to your app Settings, pick Notifications, and then scroll all the way down. It should be below the toggle to turn on/off push notifications.

I have stopped receiving ebay app notifications for offers. I only receive them through email now. DM and item purchased notifications still work.
