Ebay not working on ipad

when I go to purchases in the eBay app it will not open up. It posts a system error msg. 1015.

Make sure you have the latest version of the eBay app for your operating system. Update the app if necessary.

If that does not help, try using a browser instead of the app.

I just tried to update the ebay app as directed by the old app. The Apple app store says I have the latest version. EBAY FIX THIS!!!

What operating system version number?

If your operating system does not support the latest version of the eBay app and you cannot update your operating system or use a previous version that is still supported, it should still be possible to use a mobile browser to go to ebay.com or ebay.co.uk and use eBay that way.

If eBay browser links are opening in the app automatically, iOS users should be able to tap and hold an eBay browser link and select "don't open in the app" to prevent that from happening.

If you're working on an outdated device that no longer supports current versions of the eBay app, you should be able to access eBay through a web browser on your phone/tablet.

If links are automatically trying to open in the app, you can delete the app since it's no longer functioning, or change the settings in your browser preferences so links don't automatically open in the app.

If your device has iOS 15 you should still be able to get a version of the app that will run on your device

1. Delete your eBay app
2. Go to the App Store, search for eBay
3. When you download it you will see this alert, tapping download should allow you to get a version that will run on your device.

That is not the latest iPadOS. The latest version of the eBay app requires iOS 16.

Use the instructions to get an iOS 15 compatible version of the eBay app, or else use a browser instead of the app.
