App will not update

The App willl not up date - I’m using an Apple iPhone 6 - the IOS software for the phone says y the IOS is up to date . 
this appears to be a reoccurring problem with the eBay App. 
Very annoying - I guess I will shop elsewhere then !!!’n 🦋

If your operating system does not support the latest version of the eBay app and you cannot update your operating system, it should still be possible to use a mobile browser to go to ebay.com or ebay.co.uk and use eBay that way.

If eBay browser links are opening in the app automatically, iOS users should be able to tap and hold an eBay browser link and select "don't open in the app" to prevent that from happening.

Hey @betttsdosh! The Product team wanted to reach out and offer some assistance on this:

Thanks for reporting this. If your device has iOS 15 you should still be able to get a version of the app that will run on your device

1. Delete your ebay app
2. Go to the App Store, search for ebay
3. When you download it you will see this alert, tapping download should allow you to get a version that will run on your device.

I am afraid your solution doesn’t work as you still get the message that this version has expired!

According to a post on the UK community boards, the latest version of the eBay app requires Android 10 or later, or iOS 17 or later.

If you cannot upgrade your operating system or find an older version of the app that works with your current operating system, you should still be able to use a browser to go to ebay.co.uk instead.

If eBay browser links are opening in the Android version of the app automatically, you can disable that by going to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Opens supported links and choosing "Don't open in the app". iOS users can tap and hold an eBay browser link and choose "Don't open in the app".
