Yes since there's about a 2 size difference between men's and women's US sizing but in this case the stamping is there and D is only used in men's.9

Again, men's 10 D

I think a quick and easy way to determine that is to put it on. For example, I wear about a 9 womens. If I slip that boot on and it almost fits, it's women's. If it's very big on me, it's men's.
Same with a shirt or jacket. A women's XL would fit me and the sleeves would be the right length. A men's would have sleeves way too long for me.
Works most of the time.

The "9" is a typo.

Re: D width and I do think this is important to post...
With respect and with a true lifetime career in footwear production behind me, D is always a men's width. To suggest that may not always be true is IMO (and again, with respect), really misleading and could cause ebayers to waste their time (and the time of others) posting pictures and writing questions on footwear that is stamp sized and clearly denotes gender. I would not argue this about widths, A, B or C which have been used for both men and women in the past, but D is always men's in footwear. That is not to say that women don't buy men's footwear. I only buy men's cowboy boots for myself but that's a different discussion.

Thanks Beth. I agree that there are exceptions to most "rules" in fashion but that's one that I have never seen any variation in so I just wanted all to know that if they see a D WITH a size on footwear it's men's. Had the OP known that the questions on 2 of the 3 boots need not have been posted. Just wanna save people time LOL.

And I from you-you've really helped me a lot in the past with my 4 legged son when he was sick!
